Also, from Matt Parino:

"Watching the full viewing period today, I'm strongly thinking Gabe Davis will get to make his debut this week against the Buccaneers. Very involved, leading the WR individual drills w/ Palmer. Remember this was a team captain. I'll stop short of saying Keon will be inactive but it wouldn't surprise me."

Davis is far more useful than Coleman is right now if he is right.

This handshake thing is so corny, but hey if that's what they need to get things going and feel good,  have at it.

100% yes.  I would like to see Keon mostly off the field or inactive for this game.  I bet the passing game would perform better.

What you will get instead is Keon running the jet sweep so slowly that time actually flows backwards

I'd like to them throw more sideways passes to Shakir...which I'm sure Tampa is not expecting at all.  Also, maybe utilize Hawes and Gilliam as a focal point of the offense.

So is it realistic that both Davis and Hardman could be the PS elevations against Tampa Bay?

That would be 8 WR out of the 55 that are eligible to play this coming Sunday.

Then one would presume that 2 of the existing 6 WR would be inactive and then guessing the two most logicial candidates would be Samuel and Coleman?

Davis - Palmer - Shakir - Moore - Shavers - Hardman as the active 6?

I expect that is exactly the plan Brady has in mind but because both Hawes and Gilliam will get injured in practice this week due to two unrelated and highly unlikely events, they're going to have to go full random madden playcalling

My guess would be that Hardman and Shavers are inactive.  Probably another week for Hardman since he just got here.

I was thinking out loud as to whether the D was healthy enough to allow for 2 WR call ups, assuming Sanders does take Landon Jackson's spot on the 53.

Palmer had 14 catches for 200 something yards. Don’t look for much impact coming from him.

Against Atlanta Palmer had 2 catches on 2 targets for 60 yards in Buffalo's first 2 possessions.  It looked like he was going to be featured that game and he got off to a great start.

Crazy we are now at a place where people are excited for Davis to come back.

I've always been a fan, but to see others are is funny given the feeling around him 18 months ago!

OK. And Keon Coleman had 8 catches for over 100 yards in the first game of the season.

No offense but it takes more than 2 catches or a good game. Outside of Shakir, these wide receivers have shown nothing.

You know what will throw them off? Maybe use Gilliam or hawes on our weekly jet sweep for loss or fumble

It will surprise no one that if things go south in NE, Diggs will pull something similar. The ultimate front-runner.

Didn't the Patriots* only sign Diggs for one year? Not much to run out on.

It's amazing what a season and a half of Keon Coleman will do to a person.

Differences he wanted 15 million dollars last time and now he's on the practice squad
