The word supposedly is that Ross really believes in McDaniel and does not want him fired. Now if that holds down the line, who knows. Let's hope so! 😁

Oh I hope so too, but I dont believe it. I think Ross wants McDaniel to pan out mainly because he recently signed him to an extension and doesnt want to have to pay him to not work for him.

But the word around Miami all offseason was the only reason Grier got this one more year was so Ross could fire both at the same time and reset with a new HC and GM instead of always only replacing one or the other. But who knows if Ross is really that smart.

Probably no chance they would trade within the division but maybe if we blow them out of the water we could get Waddle?

I had to re-read this I became very confused about 3/4s through that sentence.

He’s safe until a new GM is hired.  Any good GM is going to want to hire his own head coach, and it’s highly unlikely that DJ Mike would be anyone’s first choice…

What if McSpaniel hand picks the new GM?

The Bills ALWAYS winning the turnover battle was a huge part of the offense scoring a lot of points last year…now that they are regressing to the mean, which was inevitable, Brady is being exposed.

I agree TOs were a big part of the story last year.  I think fumbles mostly even out over time so your regressing-to-the-mean argument does resonate.  But I do think some offenses, and some players, are more likely to turn the ball over than others.  I think Brady probably preaches ball security more than some other OCs and generally runs a low-risk offense.

But here's the other thing: the Bills are 3rd in the NFL in offense despite having a subpar receiving corps that neuters the talents - to some degree - of our MVP QB.

Please don't think I'm a Brady apologist: he drives me crazy.  I don't believe he's particularly creative and is below average at scheming a downfield passing game.  But he hasn't been dealt a great hand, either.

For me, the perfect solution is to retain Brady but hire a talented, innovative passing game coordinator to help Brady get the passing game going.   And, of course, for Beane to give him better guys to throw to.
