I saw a news story the other day that 33 counties in Eastern Oregon have given favorable consideration to secede from Oregon to Idaho, and 13 of those have passed items to look into it formally.

Their view is that they have no representation in the Oregon state gov.

Agree. And same for much of America on one side or the other. Just another example of why gerrymandering is at the root of the political dysfunction in the country. If politicians are in safe gerrymandered districts, they can take extreme positions and ignore the concerns of the other party.
