I'll need to see them do this yearly, to buy-in.

Pumping brakes.

Right now, as a fan, I don't care about 2026, 2027 or further. They are a problem in 2025 and a significant obstacle in the Bills path.

Yes, the Pats look good against weaker teams. Buffalo just lost to one of the weakest teams in the league. They got run out of the building against a weaker team in Atlanta.

As a side note, the Pats season this year reminds me a TON of Buffalo's season in Allen's third year. We were winning and looking good, and yet the chatter was we "hadn't beaten anybody good". Remember how infuriating that was? How we replied "hey we don't make the schedule. We play who we play and win?" Yeah, that's what the Patriots have done this year.

Pump the breaks all you want, but winning 9 out of 11 NFL games is not an easy task. It doesn't happen on accident. There has been zero letdown weeks where they regress and fall. I hate the Patriots just like any self respecting Bills fan, but people that are saying they aren't for real, haven't done it for enough consecutive years or whatever their justification are just burying their head in the sand

It's a QB league. You get a good one and everything else falls into place. Maye is $^#@$ good

He sure is. It will be interesting to see what he does in the playoffs. But I sense that he is good enough to fight the stress off. He's the real deal and could win MVP this year.

I get what you are saying, but I kind of disagree.

For as obnoxious as it is, throughout their dynasty I never had any issues with their fans other than me being jealous and thinking they are spoiled.  I think if the Jets or Dolphins were to get off the mat it would be 10x worse and they would be throwing it in our faces all over.    The Patriots fans who post here are fine.

There's a whole world outside these boards lol. I'll say this much, I very MUCH prefer the Patriots fans that post here to the Chiefs fans that post here. I can handle Jets fans (they aren't really that intelligent) or Dolphin fans (they really don't understand football that much. But they try). It's the typical self entitled, smug Pats fans that only know the Brady era that make me want to drill my fist into a wall.

They wont.  That is/was unprecedented.

If this Patriots do have sticking power, they will be tough for a few years.  Need to manage the maye salary bump.  Then navigate through being the target.  Maye has to maintain focus on his day-to-day and also stay healthy.

Maye’s salary bump won’t kick in until the 2028 season. The Pats have a long runway….

Don’t hurt yourself over dumb fans! And remember that Pats fan is probably to young to remember the Patsies (god I hated that nickname) of the lat 80’s and early 90’s and didn’t live through the fear the team when sold may move to a different city.. sold fans do why we just enjoy the ride and well for me Bills fans always been good to me since I started being a fan in the 80’s..

This pats team isn't close to the 2020 bills.

The 20 bills had 6 wins vs 500 or better teams, would've been 7 if not for the Murray play. Including two blowout wins over 12 win teams, and 3 blowouts vs double digit win teams. And this is with the 16th ranked defense.... Buffalo avg 31.3 ppg that year, higher than 2024. The srs and power index isn't close either. There's a reason dvoa is low on the pats

It's not about hate. The pats are an okay team.

They're going to drop a couple games and then get destroyed by Buffalo and Baltimore in December.

They aren't there yet

There's alot of reason as to why they've managed to win 9 out of 11 games, and while they should get credit for it, you also have to look at how lucky it's been, and how lucky it's going to continue to be

They will get Cincy without Burrow, but he'll be back to play us. We gave them the game in Buffalo with self inflicted, bonehead turnovers. The Jets had every opportunity to win lastnight had they resembled even a glimpse of a passing game.

I'm not impressed, and I'm certainly not bowing at the alter of the almighty Cheatriots until they prove they can not just win the division, but win playoff games, and then repeat it the next season with a first place schedule...you know, like we have the last five seasons

100% this.

They have a pretty good team. But imo they're not ready for Dec/ Jan football.

You sound like a Pats homer tbh.

They look good.  But so did last years iteration of the Commanders with Daniels. And PLENTY of other teams with newer QBs, and coaching staffs.

My point is lets see if they can repeat these wins, season in, season out, before we anoint them the way you are.  Most defenses adapt when more of a team is on tape.

I care less about how impressive they played so far.  They can have AFC East.  All I care is beat them we play them again.

Hard to criticize the Patriots for their weak schedule, when we are totally blowing it against an equally bad group of teams.

They beat the Falcons, when we got absolutely embarrassed by them in Primetime.  We just got destroyed by the Dolphins, who were auctioning off their roster only days before.  The Patriots will almost certainly sweep them.  And of course we lost to the Patriots themselves.

I'm not sure if the Patriots are truly a Super Bowl contender.  But they are absolutely a better team than Buffalo through 10 weeks, and I don't see any evidence that will be changing down the stretch.

I'm not a Patriot Homer by any means. I'm just not allergic to giving credit where it's due to other teams like so many fans are these days.

Also if you read my post, I give them credit for what they are doing THIS year because idgaf about what's going to happen 2 years from now. I don't anoint them as anything more than a big problem in 2025.

Pure wishful thinking.  There is absolutely nothing about the Pats to suggest they will fold in December and January, other than the fact that they have a young nucleus, but they also have an experienced, cagey headcoach and an OC who’s won multiple Super Bowls…

All of NFL history shows they'll fall back

A 2nd year QB with more tape, and older skill players well past their prime outside Henderson that will wear down late in the year.

Vrabel is a good coach but he's also not Bill Walsh or Andy Reid. He's a meathead

McDaniels is a joke

Diggs is 32

Hollins is 32

Henry is 30

Hooper is 31

The center and rt are 34 and 30. And Moses is always hurt late in the year.

They just lost Milton Williams...

They are not a very physical football team that is built for December and January.

And yet the Pats are getting better as the season goes on…there’s been plenty of tape on Maye for a while now…curious what part of “NFL history” you’re referring to, because that’s not much of an argument…

I mean if the jets don't make tons of mistakes they could've won.

I already told you, he's a 2nd year QB and there will be a self correction with more tape. The jury is still out obviously. He's going to hit some adversity and we'll see how he adjusts. It's extremely premature to say he's legit

The pats are also extremely old at the skill positions except for RB. And rookie RBS wear down in December. The other skill positions are going to wear down at wr and te

As I said before they're also not a very physical football team and that usually gets exposed in December and January

We'll see who is correct by Christmas

Thats a mark of good coaching. They are going to beat the teams that they should beat and play the better teams close. That’s how meathead had his teams in Tennessee play too.

we are a far better team than them, but they will play us tight. Josh is going to have to decide whether he wants to play within the system and beat them in a clean 24-20 type game, or instead go big play hunting.

In what sense are the Pats “not a very physical football team”?  They have the top defense in the league vs the rush…everything you’ve written is just projection and wishful thinking.  All of the older guys you’ve mentioned have been healthy this year and their experience will be an asset in December and January…

They are currently much more likely to win the Super Bowl than the Bills are. That would be absolutely horrific for this franchise on a number of levels.
