Trading for a #1 isn't plausible when the Bills only have less than 2 mil in cap space.  We're fizzucked

Waddle only costs $585K this season for the team that trades for him:

Waddle will be a Steeler before Tuesday is over. They didn’t, in fact, end up signing MVS. They’re in a one-year window, desperate for a WR, and provide another option for Miami to not have to trade Waddle to Buffalo or New England. That’s where he goes if he gets traded.

Now we just have to convince Miami to trade him to us

Beane goes bananas:

1st + 4th for Waddle

Coleman, Samuel, 2nd for Olave (extended) & Shaheed

Olave

Waddle

Shakir

Shaheed

Palmer

Wut?!  Don’t @ at me. Let me have a moment🤣

seriously though something along those lines for either trade needs to happen

The only way I can see it being remotely possibly is if we're literally the *only* team in the entire NFL offering a 1st for him. Any other team that offers a 1st will both be in another division or conference and also perceived to have a higher pick.

It stinks that the Dolphins and Jets are both sellers with pieces we need, but are inside the Division and unlikely to assist a rival. Especially one that's Draft slot is looked at as one of the worst in the league.

This has always been the most likely outcome barring a Herschel Walker type offer

But it doesn't matter, people will still blame Beane that he didn't get him, just as they blame him for not drafting BTJ, even though we probably didn't have a chance to do so.

The Dolphins will trade Waddle to the Patriots just to spite the Bills.
