Ian R. said Miami will at least listen to offers for him with the GM change.  I’m sure many won’t agree, but I’d send a 1st for him…& it would probably take that for a division trade

I'm with you, id give up a lot for waddle

He solves our wr problem for multiple seasons, on top of coming across as a wr that's willing to block/play all over the field

That would probably be the price to trade within the division. I personally do not want to waste a year of Josh's prime, and I think this is the level of move that is needed to optimize your chances. Doubt it happens, though.

I don't think Meyers would be a good use of resources and I think we can probably get someone that offers more value to us for less cost. But Meyers would at least be an upgrade. Just think there's some diminishing returns with him.

Does anyone in particular come to mind?

I would too, but aside from Miami not trading him, I think he costs a day 2 pick. I don't know where that mid-rounder price comes from the other fella is speculating. Shaheed will probably cost you a third, and he's the most plausible option out there.

Some have mentioned Calvin Ridley as possible (subject to cap). He's not Waddle but he's an X and actually pretty versatile, a more complete receiver than Shaheed.

Pay it. Throw in a 5th if you have to.

Ridley is damaged goods this year. He will miss his third straight game with a soft tissue injury. Those tend to linger as the year goes on.

I'd bet when it's all said and done, it will be something like a 3rd for Shaheed and a 6th.

Bc of supply (not much) and demand (very high) for WR's - they can afford to ask for a Day 2 pick for a half year rental on Shaheed this year. I think when push comes to shove, them coming down would equate to the price staying the same, but they'd give a late Round pick in return.

With Beane’s drafting record he’d be smart to trade for proven commodities, as much as the cap allows vs drafting and missing more often than not.

Waddle on this team could be a lot of fun, even if he is banged up more often than I would care for... A lot more fun than watching Keon Coleman ride the struggle bus every week.

Id give them Keon and a pick at this point and not even be scared that it’s going to come back and bite me in the arse bc I’m that certain Keon will never be anything special in this league. He’ll just be lucky enough to just be in the league period after his rookie contract is up… I’m sure he’ll float around the league on one year deals and practice squads.

What did we trade for Diggs originally? I'd give up more for Waddle.

Miami would want the farm from Buffalo though, they know what Waddle could be in this offense.

Vikings got our 2020 NFL Draft first-round pick, 2020 fifth-round pick, 2020 sixth-round pick, 2021 fourth-round pick.

Apparently Waddle is available:

Cue Miami trading him to someone out of the division and Beane getting torched for not matching or beating the offer - while Miami was never going to trade him to us.

In Division trades only happen for smaller players (like Codrington), when there's no other options, and/or the pick from a Division rival is perceived to be a top pick. None of that applies to this situation.

Yep. Just ask Kaden Prather. They can resolve or they can linger. Agreed. He’s not just being held out.

Beane should be fired if he doesn’t acquire a WR.

“A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn’t have receivers, but I don’t understand it now,” Beane told Jeremy White and Joe DiBiase. “You just saw us lead the league in points, when you add all the postseason, no one scored more points than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. So, you just saw us do it without Stefon Diggs, same group. How is this group not better than last year’s group? Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better? Defense. We did that. So, I get it, you got to have a show, and you got to have something to b---h about, but b----ing about wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I’ve heard.”
