In all practicality this is going to cost him 10's of millions of dollars in future earnings. He has no guarantees beyond this year, his biggest paycheck (year 4 of his rookie deal) is now very much at risk of loss due to suspension, he can be cut for cap savings if they don't want to deal with the headache, and i don't see them extending him or re-signing him if he is subject to another suspension. I'm also not sure if he even has the money to settle out of court, and pay his lawyers. Burden of proof is less in civil cases, and no one's going to lend to a guy who's future earning prospects aren't good. I would have guessed his 2027 extension to have been probably in the 20+ AAV range over 3-5 years. That feels like a lot, but that's Jakobi Meyers deal that he signed in 2025 - and it would be 2027. Now it is probably a 1yr deal in a pretty vast range of like 2-8M maybe half guaranteed with all sorts of void potential for this kind of crap. Assuming anyone wants him on their team at all, and he's not suspended. Between domestic violence and his "adversity" in overcoming his suspension for leaving the scene of an accident, he just strikes me as someone who seems reckless, selfish, and displays terrible judgement and impulse control. I'm not sure what the market is for that. I know I personally don't want abusers on the team I support, and I'd imagine that I'm in the majority of fans. There's also like 30-40 drafted WR's every season who aren't like this, and they all want your job. Oh well - don't be a garbage human and you won't be in this situation. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy 🙄 6 Quote

It wasn’t just allegations or some bs when they decided to wear shirts, it was already known and he was guilty. Just completely disgusting and clueless 1 2 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 So that means Buffalo won't face the Chiefs until at least the ninth game of the season. Have to give Rice time to serve his suspension and get back in game shape. 1 Quote

Josh Gordon is the best combination of size and speed at Wide Receiver which I have ever seen. Megaton and Moss were tall and fast. Gordon was big, stout, and faster. Think Moulds size, but faster. I went to Bills game where Johnny Football threw a 60 yard+ TD to Gordon. I believe that was his last game. Moulds had legendary “Grandpa Strength” Edited February 23 by Pete Quote

I think he is the most physically gifted player ever to play wideout. I dont think he had exceptional hands, and I dont think he played long enough to have to rely on something besides being bigger and faster than everyone else. I think you can put great wideouts into two categories 1. Physical Freaks- Johnson, Moss, Owens, Mike Evans etc and 2. Great Tactical Wideouts- RIce, Marvin Harrison, and Antonio Brown. I think Antonio Brown ends up being the best all-around wideout of all time if he doesn't go full idiot and nuke his career. Justin Jefferson has a shot at it now, he does everything well. Quote
