I really don't know what it takes for us to get over the hump.  We probably have 2 SB appearances already if we just squib kick in one game, and if Kincaid holds onto the 1st down pass last year.

The outcomes are so razor thin the deeper you get in the playoffs.  Feels like we can be the best team & play our best - and we still need a break or 2.

Better defense and/or executing in the clutch (both on the field and coaching).

As he said, it’s razor thin. It could be as simple as Benford getting knocked out of the game so early. We all watched the draft. The last few years we seem to be out of bodies on defense by the time the playoffs come around. Hopefully we have addressed that adequately.

They have 3 playoff wins since 2019, including 2 losses to the Bills. The Bills have 7 playoff wins.

I don't. Regular season success is different from post season success. Lamar has been terrible in the playoffs for much of his career. In fact, the first round bye makes it even worse since the Ravens get the lowest seed possible in subsequent weeks.

All these takes are off. Buffalo has consistently been Super Bowl favorites or in the running multiple times. So the start of why we are even talking about this is off. Then to compound it with somehow saying our playoff success is more profound. Marginal at best and mostly just because they haven’t played a wild card game.  Lastly, they have more talent than us. So yes, they should be favored over us at this time.

I like how you edited the pic.

I cannot take credit for it.  That particular picture has been kicking around the internet for at least a couple of years.

I haven't searched too deeply, but I don't know of any photoshopped pictures of referees in any other team colours than KC.  Coincidence?  I doubt it. 🤔🤨

There's an ages old saying that "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."

In modern times it's more common to say that "Luck is the residue of design."

Regardless of the above, there is an element of true, random, uncontrollable luck involved in sports... which have black and white outcomes.

Playoff Stats:

Also note: Four of the Bills six playoff losses (66.6%) were either Overtime or 3 point losses; only one of the Ravens losses (12.5%) were by 3 points or less.

And no one will argue that the Bills have been the more talented team compared to the Ravens.

Chiefs will win the West. I think they are better this year than last.

I agree that the Chiefs will win the West... but at what cost?

Will a more rugged and challenging division create regular season hardships and injuries that will affect them come playoff time... or will better competition actually make them a better team?

That is the question.

Anyone here think the Commanders can challenge the Eagles for the division. I would also put the Lions and Packers in the mix to represent the NFC.

They have found their franchise QB in Daniels. They have a team on the upswing. I don't know if they can take the division from the Eagles, but I do expect them to be in the playoffs.

I think they're too old and injury prone on offense

Similar to what Allen does for the Bills, Daniels can do for the Commanders. He is not as good as Josh, but you can tell he is going to be a special player.

Yea that wouldn't shock me either. At best they are scrambling for the 6th or 7th seed and I could easily see them missing out. I'm not as big of a fan of their offseason as some seem to be. They've upgraded at offensive tackle and corner opposite Lattimore but they are weaker up front on the defensive line and unless Deebo can rediscover his best (and I'm sceptical) they are a one man band at wide receiver. Ertz played 17 games last year for the first time in his career, chances of him staying as healthy again I'd say slim... and then teams have a year of film on Jayden Daniels. If he regresses even slightly the offense could look quite pedestrian quite quickly.
