Tampa is 4pts behind (102 pts) with 3 games to play, so they’d win can only max out at 108pts now.

 

Montreal is 2 pts behind (104pts) with 3 games to play. They can still hit 110pts too. But the Sabres have way more regulation wins than Montreal so they’d win the tiebreaker if both teams finished with the same amount of points.

 

Tiebreaker scenarios with Tampa are still undecided. 

this is best case scenario.  Depending on other teams isn't nxcessary. What a great run to get HERE

This is really getting so exciting, and another aspect I hadn’t even really thought about until recently is that the Sabres being relevant again has taken my focus off the dullest part of the NFL year!

 

By Monday night it might actually be possible for the Sabres to wrap up the Atlantic…

In 13 days (April 23rd) is the NFL draft. I hope the Sabres don't play that night so the focus can be 100% on the NFL draft and more importantly the Bills.

For me, draft night is interesting but certainly not a “must see” — I’ll happily forego it for a Sabres playoff game.

The pop up notification on my phone will suffice.  I don't need to sit through three hours of dead air at the expense of playoff hockey to find out Beane just traded out of the first round.

Good point. I would also watch the game, but it would better for Bills/Sabres fans if April 23rd isn't a game day being that is the 1st RD of the draft. Hoping they play on the 22nd and 24th. Or better yet have some days off to rest while they wait for their next opponent to play in the next round

Bills pick so late, if they don’t trade out of the first altogether, that the Sabres game will be long over before they are on the clock. No need to choose.
