Even though there hasn't been a draft in ~1/2 a century, makes sense to have the infrastructure in place to reinstitute it should conditions warrant it. Not to be a pedantic Karen (we have enough of those already) but it restarted in 1980 while Carter was still in office. Firsthand knowledge! 1
stevestojan Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Can’t wait to see Karoline’s response to the inevitable question about the one stat that Donnie finds most important - crowd size. Looks like the “No Kings” crowds far surpassed the headcount of the Army parade; even in many individual cities, including DC, so he can’t blame the less than ideal weather. When asked about the MAHA report just having flat out made up sources, she claimed it was “formatting errors.” Then when they removed the AI generated sources or the sources that literally contradicted the body of the report, she stood her ground that those were the same formatting errors she referenced. 😂 Let’s see how she spins this one, since we know Don will make sure that answer is scripted perfectly. Where did we find our last four press secretaries? A community college Toast Masters class? And I’ll save one of you the handful of keystrokes: ⬆️ Hoax 😂 Edited 10 hours ago by stevestojan 1

Meant as a preparation/signal to the USSR after it invaded Afghanistan. I remember because I was just a year or two under the registration age and it would impact me soon.

It makes sense when you can’t comprehend much beyond planting soybeans on the same three acres you lived on for 60 years

They call it hyperbole. As you know, many of your fellow democrats here engage in it - to the extreme. It’s a scourge. The guy you are quoting is a practitioner of the loathsome art. 1

I would just argue that when the general theme of the hyperbole/memes pointed at the right (or MAGA at least) is that they are lesser in intelligence (again, not saying that, but that’s the trope) telling the world that a fireworks show left you speechless isn’t helping the cause.

An issue that approximately one person in the entire country is focused on. Not helping, hurting, or otherwise doing anything to the cause.

A clearly partisan X account engaging in hyperbolic fireworks descriptions, versus an established cable network pretending to be non partisan puking out crap like this ...daily.
