Trump can be a narcissistic, blowhard dickweed at the very same time as being behind issues that the majority of Americans support. Many of these are issues that were never even close to left/right wedge issues 15 years ago, but now they are only because Democrats abandoned sanity.

 

So we had an election and you ended up with a guy you despise for his personality traits as POTUS because he didn't abandon sane values that the vast majority of the country support.

 

My advice would be to stop raging at the orange guy and instead focus your rage on the party that completely abandoned sanity on 80/20 issues that in turn handed the guy you despise 1600 Pennsylvania avenue on a silver platter.

Well said, and accurate.  The proof will be in the pudding when the "Bush" Republicans get the party back and the Democrats return to emphasizing economic populism as opposed to fringe social issues.  Will MAGA vote Democrat?  Or will it have been so poisoned by Trump's lies and vitriol that it continues to largely vote against its own economic interests?  Time will tell.
