The Bills have actually scored on that same play multiple times to Dalton Kincaid and once to Dawson Knox if I recall against Chiefs Was just gonna post that it was nothing new. Very well timed and executed play. Coaches might spend an entire season running that screen just to set up that fake. Quote

COTY usually goes to the coach with a massive record turnaround so Vrabel will likely get it. Both coaches had QB’s on rookie scale contracts and feasted on last place schedules but you play who you are scheduled to. I almost wish there was a different coaching award for sustaining success. Because COTY is rarely going to coaches sustaining success. It’s why I think all but 1 COTY year since 2018 has been fired. McD last year improved his teams record by 2 games (and could have been 3 had they not sat the last game) while losing a ton of veteran talent and still wasn’t even top 5 in COTY voting (although a tough field may skew things). Point is that a great or even just good coach sustaining success is not likely to be COTY. Quote

If you want to say his use of personnel is better in the play than sure I can get behind that but the Bills have used this same play multiple times for scores as well this year. If Ben Johnson is some super wiz for running this than so is Joe Brady. The timing of calling it though was impeccable which I also previously stated. 1 Quote

So the Bears should be loaded and in a position to be very competitive the next 3 years. Also looking at their division it’s not that competitive as it might seem. Lions are good but they now have to pay a lot of the talent they drafted so they need to hit on draft classes just to sustain success. Lions might hit a multi year regression curve. Packers don’t have a first round pick this or next season and the player they got for those assets is coming off a torn ACL. Vikings are a complete crapshoot and their fortunes rest on a young QB whose not shown too much to be confident in. So the Bears should be in position for next season at the very least to win their division as their cap is not great but they should have a moderate amount of cap space to add some pieces they might need 1 Quote
