It was never about Diggs himself and people holding a torch for him. It was always about not having any faith in Josh Palmer or Keon Coleman to hold down a starting position and Diggs being far and away the best talent available at WR on the market. To quote Diggs lol, "you sure" It sure seems like the thread has a pretty firm leaning towards hard feelings, harsh reactions, hoping for his downfall and so on. Faith or lack there of in Palmer and Keon hardly show up here. It's called "Diggs Drama" after all. Just the title of the thread has a negative connotation in regards to Diggs, and I get it. Here's where I do agree with you. Once we see a WR on this team become a star, this thread may fade, but that receiver will still be compared to Diggs for a while. Ethan in Cleveland Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Oh well, time for me to move on. Bills could not afford one year $12M. Maybe they could have done a 2 year deal that could have lessened the cap hit. At season's end it will be interesting to see, but my guess is if Daniels is healthy Diggs will have more receptions than Coleman and Palmer combined. Time to bring in Cooks. He's a significant lesser talent than Diggs but he showed he still has the speed to stretch the field which is still something the Bills WR group lacks. 1 1 Quote

Got 2 Billieve Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Diggs is a piece of sh*t. Period. Guy has six different baby mamas, some of which were pregnant at the same time. He "allegedly" choked and assaulted his female chef. He "allegedly" sexually assaulted a man and when he wasn't down for it, had goons beat him up, rob him, and threaten him if he told. He can certainly play the game of football. but that along with throwing a few balls to the kids during practice doesn't make you a good person. I loved him on the Bills until his last year too. What a shame. Should of known better when all the Vikings players said Diggs was the person on the team they wouldn't let near their sister. 2 Quote

What a shame. Should of known better when all the Vikings players said Diggs was the person on the team they wouldn't let near their sister. I remember that video well. There was no one else. Every single player said they wouldn't let him near their family and they didn't hesitate. He's good, and I was glad we got him, but in the back of my mind I knew this guy is a problem. He's not back with us simply because OBD didn't want him back, and with a "rap sheet" like this how can we not trust their reasoning. To the players that say they wanted him back on their team, they only look at it from one perspective. They aren't considering the whole picture. Edited August 5 by galept 1 Quote

FLFan Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I wish them all the best in their new Diggs relationship, and thank them for ending our long regional nightmare of speculation over the potential reunion of Diggs and the team that threw him away, on purpose. Quote

He can't get open in the pros. Now maybe he can be a WR4 but to do that he has to block. Not sure if he can or not. None of those guys have elite speed. Cooks does. I'd sign Cooks, trade Keon for a PR/KR guy, and go with 5 WR with Bell#5. The PR/KR guy could be WR or DB. Either is fine. Sign Hardman to PS and bring up on game day if needed for returns or save him for injuries. Quote

Wow, we have completely different outlooks on this. Didn't want nor didn't expect the Bills anywhere near Diggs. Big "No" to Cooks. A declining veteran WR is not what the Bills need. Lets see if Palmer can hold on healthwise until Skyler shows the job should be his. If this scenario doesn't shake out by the first third of the season, Beane should investigate trade options. Quote

At this point, Brandin Cooks is honestly probably the best available WR if we need to call on someone due to injury or ineffectiveness during the season. Nah. This will get at least 20 more pages as soon as Diggs makes his first catch. Quote

We have a WR1 and two WR3’s in Shakir and Palmer. Kincaid becomes the de facto WR2 from the TE position. I hear you about take the top off speed, but Hardman is likely our PR and he’s running reps with the 1’s so far at camp, so unless we carry 7 WR’s, I think the writing is on the wall that Moore, Palmer and Keon can all “get deep” and Hardman will have specific packages to come in as the deep threat/speed guy. dave mcbride Posted August 6 Posted August 6 The “Hating Diggs” tribe is about the dumbest football fan group ever. He was a good player for the Bills. Full stop. 1 Quote

Full stop. No, he wasn't. He was a diva who always wanted the ball and gave sh!t to Josh when he didn't get it. Not only that, the guy went invisible in the playoffs the last few seasons in Buffalo. When the Bills needed him to step up at the end of the season in the biggest games...he gave up. For a highly paid #1 WR, it was pathetic. Playoffs, Chiefs in 2023, 8 targets, 3 catches for 21 yards, 1 fmbl. Playoffs, Pittsburgh in 2023. 9 targets, 7 catches for 52 yards. Playoffs, Cincy 2022. 10 targets, 4 catches for 35 yards Playoffs, Chiefs 2021. 6 targets, 3 catches for 7 yards. Edit: got the years wrong: thanks @ganesh Edited August 6 by Nihilarian 3 1 Quote
Dunkirk Donski Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I’d prolly trade a 3rd to Washington to sign him long term Quote

The Bills missed golden opportunities due to lack of production by your #1 WR. Quote
