I get why Beane got frustrated with the call in radio hosts that do nothing more than criticize the WR room yet don't look at the big picture. Last season we broke records when it came to points per game both from a team standpoint and NFL standpoint yet all people wanted to do is lament that our WR sucked. He also pointed out that many of the radio guys bashed Beane for drafting Allen instead of Rosen which in retrospect was the right call. The one thing I will say is in all the years he's been here the team has never bottomed out or looked like it couldn't win a game or two despite all the injuries we've had. Is it due to strong roster building aka not having to rely on super stars to pace you? Look no further than to the Jets who's passing offense is in shambles in part because Garret Wilson is hurt and they have nobody behind him that can step up and replace him. Yes, our offense been questionable since the Palmer injury but the plays have been available but for whatever reason Josh not been able to make them. But the cops shouldn't be arresting people for .32 1 Quote

True story I’m guessing he was your Designated Drunk Driver? I met a kid who held that self-appointed title. He was in rehab at the time. He said “I had no idea why it’s so hard for them to drive drunk.” Practice, practice, practice! Quote
BillsVet Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago 1 hour ago, Bill from NYC said: I agree with and appreciate your post, but I think that McDermott is at least as guilty as Beane in neglecting the WR position. McDermott has at the very least an equal say in the draft, and I think more than equal. Also, the paltry numbers our receivers produce is with an MVP QB. Could you only begin to imagine what ther numbers would look like with average or below average QBs? Posters on this board were complaining about the lack of talent at the wr position for a long time, yet the obvious was lost on McDermott. The primary focus of Bills management should be to provide Josh with weapons and more talent and depth at OL. Will McDermott do this? I sure hope so but there is no reason to expect that he will. We are very lucky that Josh signed that extension. I'm sure that he is more frustrated than we are. The last 2 off-seasons illustrate that both McD and Beane have a different concept of offense than essentially the entire NFL. It is what it is. They have a really good OL. They have an elite QB. They even have a really good RB1. They've completely failed developing the WR position, resist anyone's highlighting that it's an issue, and blame gets shifted elsewhere like onto the QB or the OC when losses mount. 1 season should be enough in the NFL to admit something doesn't work and that should have been 2024. But they ran it back on offense with "Everybody eats" and neither McD nor Beane seem willing to recognize it. In fact, McD has gone right back to blaming everyone besides himself just like previous seasons with other OC's and Josh. That's not a guy who's taking a holistic look at offense and open to changing. 1 Quote

More than Knox ($14.5M), Samuel ($9M), Palmer ($4.3M) & Moore ($2.5M) COMBINED It's like paying his $30M in dead cap twice. Bad Budget Beane Edited 9 minutes ago by uticaclub 1 Quote

I really dislike the person, but as a player I can recognize he's really talented. His play this year is even more impressive when you consider his age and the major injury he's coming off of. I do, however, hope he steps on a whole bag of Legos today. Quote
