It differs from person to person.  Depends on an individuals natural joint flexibility and how they developed as the grew up.  DId he take any dance lessons?  Might sound funny but good dancing footwork would translate well for football players.  Did Von participate in any gymnastics as a young kid?  Gymnasts are often very flexible.  I still remember when Olga Korbut did her final balance beam routine for the gold in 76 summer Olympics.   If you watch it on YouTube around the 50 sec mark of her routine when she  does the backbend and basically folds her body over her neck.  Any of us try that without the developed flexibility we end up dead with a broken neck or paralyzed.  If any young kids are allowed to play football even with the known health problems they can develop from concussions and other injuries they would benefit from gymnastics, or even yoga is a popular training athlete do for added flexibility.  So how each person has developed in any injured areas will determine how they bounce back from those injuries as well.

I seem to remember that ballet lessons helped Fred Flintstone with his bowling.

Hey, Rory McElroy met his wife in Pittsford at the PGA Champ 10 years ago. Why not Josh??

I know Rory's wife is from the area and that's been a big storyline but had no clue he actually met her at the last PGA there.  Any evidence of this or are you just speculating that's when he met her?  I'm just curious because if that is true then I would think that storyline itself would have gotten a lot more media attention this week.

I gotta' laugh at the people that think you can just keep Von Miller in bubble wrap until the playoffs.

He didn't get hurt because he was over-played last season.........and they need to win games to win the division and make the playoffs in a very competitive conference......and he was killing it and impacting games for the Bills as a rotational player for the first time in his career.

Also, from Von's perspective........he has a real chance to pass all of Dwight Freeney, Derrick Thomas and Lawrence Taylor on the all-time sacks list this season..........and even an outside chance to get into the top 10 all-time.

I believe he met her here as she was working for the PGA Champ at Oak Hill and she was assigned to him as an assistant or something. I'm not sure how they set up everything. But that's how it was told to me. It sounded like she wasn't on the PGA Tour as a regular, but was his personal chaperone in 2013.

They kept referring to him as the "honorary Rochesterian" because he spends time here with her family.

That's cool and would make sense.  I was just surprised that wasn't more of the storyline instead of Rory's Wife is from there.  Actually meeting her at the last PGA event itself would be much more relevant.  Rory definitely got a lot of love from the crowd all weekend long that's for sure!

We will make the playoffs without him. Why not give him until the back half of the year? We only get one shot at this and we have already showed we can be a regular season champion without him. We don't need him until the playoffs.

Sure would be nice to get the 1 seed. Von would certainly help with that.

I never thought I would argue against home field being important for a Buffalo team, but Allen/Bills have a career 24-14 road record vs 28-11 at home. Allen has a passer rating that is 4 points better in road games. We are an excellent road team. We would benefit a great deal from a bye week, but I don't know how much we benefit from playing in Buffalo. We are more of a finesse team until proven otherwise and those type of teams don't do well in the high winds and snow.

We haven't won a road playoff game, though.

We blew the Houston game and KC game. We almost blew the Indy game and Dolphins game. We have maybe one legit playoff win against a serious contender? A pick six vs the Ravens and a few games that went our way compared to a few that didn't are not enough to make up for the complete eggs we have laid in bad weather home games with this offense. It doesn't matter and is not worth risking Von when even if we went at it hard for it, with our schedule, the odds are very low we get it.

This article lists 5 things you need to know about his then-girlfriend now-wife Erica:

The two met when Rory nearly ruined the Ryder Cup Miracle at Medinah by oversleeping, and Erica was the PGA employee who came to his rescue before police rushed him to the course that morning in September 2012.

McIlroy’s frantic commute to Medinah seven years ago ended up having ripple effects in his off-course life as well. The car was driven by his future wife, Erica Stoll, who was working the week as part of the transportation team. The two began dating shortly thereafter and got married in 2017.

“Erica that week was always the one that was checking us in and out. She was there at transportation, so she was always in the car park over there (by the clubhouse),” McIlroy said. “But yeah, it’s still cool to look around and think about that week, and obviously everything that’s happened since then. It’s pretty cool.”

So she is to blame for America losing the 2012 Ryder Cup.

Apparently she graduated from West Irondequoit HS in 2003, and the couple have been spotted at 2Vine here in Rochester and pubs along Park Avenue.
