Went by the stadium today. The bathroom towers on the north (visitor's) side are gone. They are building the gate for the parking lots on Abbott just north of the store.

When are they installing its genitals?

I read somewhere that the genitals must be earned.

Apparently when the Bills win the Super Bowl there will be a Sack Hanging Ceremony presided over by Pegula dressed as Testostecles... the Greek God of Cojones.

The existing sculpture actually has a perineum area already equipped with hanger slots to receive the genitalia which are designed to sway in high winds and resonate a deep gong-like sound.

No you can’t say that or you’ll be labeled a homer and shill. Everyone knows the only correct display was large bronze “lifelike” bison!

I’m going to somewhere in the middle. I think the stainless steel folded plate stealth fighter look is very much in keeping with the new stadium but I’m not so hot on the streak. I don’t think they’re necessary and at first glance seem to be too literal for statues that are obviously intended to be less literal. I’ll be anxious to see them in person.

Agreed. The LED streak fixture things just doesn't look good and it's absolutely not going to age well. Just gimmicky. How many iconic statues do you know of that have those kind of light things attached as bump-outs? I can think of none. Hope there is some way those things could be removed at some point because to be fair, just the silver body of them looks quite good.

You might hate the streaks even more at night!

Has anyone considered that perhaps the intent here is the Bills logo “coming to life?” I don’t think they simply wanted to put bison statues out there. Hence the prominence of the streak.

It’s just a thought. I’ll judge them when I’m up there for the Blue and Red.

I know the bison are a bit polarizing for some, but I kind of dig them.  Wasn't what I was expecting at all, but I think at night when they are lit up and breathing smoke, they are going to look awesome......

I know the stadium as a whole has been hit or miss for a lot of people (funny how some people have such strong opinions either way without stepping foot inside it yet), but so far the only major thing I have a problem with is that it's only 61,000 seats plus maybe a couple more of standing room only.  It should have been a 70,000 seat stadium (at least 68k-69k seats with a couple more SRO).  But other than that, I am going to reserve judgement until I get to see it in person.....if and when that ever happens.

How can you not love a new stadium, especially after having the same one for 50 years?  I get people had emotional ties to the old one, but everyone will grow to love this new one - just like we did the Rockpile and Rich.

I was very upset about this until I read virtually all of the new stadiums are trending smaller. Still not a fan but at least I know theres a solid rationale behind it.

They probably factored in that many fans will be priced out given the ticket prices and PSL fees. Year 1 was always going to sellout since it's a new stadium and everybody is going to want to check it out. But when the "shine" of the place wears off then filling the place at those prices becomes more challenging.
