mathja Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Has anyone recorded on what the shadows will be like on the field? Surely they’ve tested that by now, even if they were somehow doing it before the stadium was built. Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Is there any way to have a giant middle finger ice sculpture on the Dolphin's sidelines? Quote

It’s definitely the “charge” stripe of the logo…looks like that area is set aside for perhaps staging a band, or standing room? I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough. Quote

The designers must have had a simulator to show sun sequences on the stadium. However Jerry Jones didn't with the sun blazing through the glass & his refusal to put up curtains at the new Cowboy stadium. 1 Quote
haroldwaide Posted May 20 Posted May 20 From what I've seen and heard, the Bills bench is in the sun, and the opponents get to bask in the cold shadows throughout the year. Take that, Miami! Quote
Virgil Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I can’t wait to christen this new stadium with @Gugny They are going to need a priest to cleanse that place when I’m done with him. 2 Quote

ALF Posted May 20 Posted May 20 AI Overview In the new Highmark Stadium, the visitor (east) side is generally in the sun, while the home (west) sideline is more heavily shaded by the roof canopies. The new stadium has a nearly North-South orientation. Here is how sun and shade break down: Visitor / East Side: Faces west, meaning it takes the brunt of the afternoon and evening sun. If you attend an early-season game in September, this side will be very sunny. Home / West Side: Faces east and is positioned closer to Abbott Road. It is on the "shade side" and is typically much cooler, though it can get direct sunlight during morning pre-game hours. The Roof: The new stadium's large canopies cover approximately 65% of the seats. While this protects you from rain and snow, direct sunlight exposure fluctuates depending on the exact time of day, the season, and the specific row you are sitting in Quote

Appreciated by many on here I'm sure too. 2 Quote

And of course there was the time when sheets of ice slid off the roof of the Jerruh Dome and seriously injured 7 people as preparations were being made to host the Super Bowl... oh and also the extra bleacher fiasco where people bought Super Bowl tickets for seats that were never completed in time... Such a great guy... 1 Quote
