Makes me think the place was very much in disrepair and the organization probably breathed a sigh of relief that nothing fell apart during last season! It isn’t that. What it tells you is that the Contractor has informed the Bills that the new stadium will indeed be ready for occupancy on the contractual target date, meaning that they can get a jump on demolition of the old stadium while the site is relatively quiet over the spring/summer months. Whenever possible Contractors want to get started early on every activity. It shields them from increasing labor and materials costs and serves as a hedge against future unforeseen challenges that might arise during the demolition of a 50 year old structure. 8 Quote

Question: Is it less difficult to demolish a stadium that is half sunk into the earth vs one that is fully above ground? Quote

First Look At New Video Boards! | Buffalo Bills https://share.google/awIQGBrd4bKKGXEzC I think it just looks small relative to other stadiums. Look at ours: Then compare it to the Patriots, where the scoreboard is almost the entire width of the interior stadium Or the Broncos And the Texans I don't care about video board size, but the above is why some people will think it looks small. The old stadium isn’t sunk into the ground , as many people think. It’s simply a hole upon which they poured concrete steps. The lower bowl has no structure beneath it. It’s essentially an outdoor amphitheater sitting on native, compacted soil. So…is it easier? Maybe…but it’d be easier if the UPPER deck was on a steel skeleton like is true at the new stadium, but it’s instead concrete beams with concrete decking so it’s most likely going to put up one heck of a fight. Make sense? Edited May 7 by SoCal Deek 2 Quote

Compared to those it does look small. Not that it matters but it looks like they had additional room on each end to go wider. 1 Quote

The scoreboard under the Highmark Stadium signage looks small, I think the other side is larger. Can anyone confirm that? I'm sure there is a reason, such as the seats curl around and impede on the scoreboard size. Hopefully when we are in the stadium, it's plenty big enough. Quote

Slippery Rubber Mats Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Video board size is fine. The game is on the field, and those are perfectly gigantic to read when you want a replay 1 Quote

0017 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 maybe they’re thinking the small screen will make the 🦬 buffalo's out front look bigger 😬 1 2 Quote
stevewin Posted May 8 Posted May 8 The design decisions for the video board were discussed in the 'Built for Buffalo' series episode 4: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/2025-new-highmark-stadium-progress-revealed-exclusive-inside-access-built-for-buffalo-episode-4 Quote From the beginning the team felt that they wanted video to support the action, but they weren't going to get caught up in how much video board square footage do we have. We weren't going to get into that LED arms race as far as trying to beat out SoFi or Allegiant type situation. With anything else, just the clarity and precision in those screens are state of the art 3 Quote

Lost Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I'm fine with the video boards being smaller but they shoulda been big enough to fill all the empty space around them. They coulda each been 10 feet wider on each side. Did they just design those areas so they can upgrade them in the future? Quote
