If someone was against the building of a new stadium because of public funding or were “priced out” they absolutely have a bias against it. If someone is excited about it, they may also have a bias to justify their spend. After 200+ pages in this thread, it’s pretty clear where you stand. You certainly haven’t been objective (not saying everyone else has). Simply suggesting that you’re doing the same thing as the people that are excited (but on the opposite side). 2 Quote

I really have no reason to go back to WNY other than to go to Bills games. I don't have family there anymore, all my friends moved away. Every time I've gone back there for the last 25 years has been specifically for football except for one trip I took last summer on a whim. Maybe in a couple years when the newness wears off, or if my kid decides to go to UB in a couple years or something but this year is going to be bonkers expensive. Sorry, just trying to offer an alternative. My wife got me a tour of SoFi for my birthday when it first opened and it was GREAT! Got to throw, and catch and even kick a field goal at the end of the tour. Fantastic experience. 1 2 Quote

The other other has no reason to criticize other than the stadium having true reason for criticism. I admit that! Proudly. Great coach. Great human. Good coach, great human, as far we know. Never met him. People think Jim Kelly is a great guy, until they meet the real him. Quote

My “reason” for being excited about the new stadium is because for my entire life I’ve had to go to games in the s-h-i-t-hole known as Rich/Ralph/Highmark. Yeah, it was our s-h-i-t-hole, but a s-h-i-t-hole nonetheless. I even bought club seats for a few years to get a better experience, but it was still far below what one should expect. I’ve been to probably half of the NFL stadiums around the league, and I couldn’t wait for the Bills to bring their building into the modern era of comfort and convenience. Your “critique” of the new Highmark is childish and pedantic. “They should have built a dome.” “It looks like they used cheap seats.” “A lot of people are going to get wet.” “I see a railing in a rendering that is going to be in people’s sight line.” “The interior is tacky neon and plastic.” “They should have built realistic bison statues.” Of course you’re entitled to your opinion, but you in particular seem hell-bent on ruining it for everyone who doesn’t share your disdain for the design of the structure and campus. You don’t like it and you didn’t buy tickets. Why keep commenting; who are you trying to impress? You’ll never be inside so who cares what you think? But whatever. I’m sure next you’ll critique the type of trees and landscaping they planted outside. 1 1 2 Quote

JohnnyCash Posted April 16 Posted April 16 (edited) Took a drive by the stadium today. Interesting that the north end of the stadium where the Highmark signage is appears that it will remain open. When driving by you can see the adjacent upper deck areas. See pic in link below. This is the north end of the stadium. https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/buffalo/news/2026/04/16/highmark-stadium-sign-installed-at-future-home-of-the-bills Edited April 17 by JohnnyCash 1 Quote

Growing up in WNY and shoveling snow for most of my teenage years, that is consistent with my experience. West Southwest is the snow gun off wide open Lake Erie. 1 Quote

SoCal Deek Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) Looks like they’ve made excellent progress throughout the winter. For all of the chatter about vandalism and schedule challenges it appears like they’re gonna make it to the finish line in good shape. Go Bills Edited May 4 by SoCal Deek 3 1 Quote
Gregg Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Next Monday is May 11th. I believe this is the week we get the schedule release. Probably Wed or Thurs the 13th or 14th. We will find out when the first game takes place. I would say it's in primetime since the Bills asked for a primetime game. But against who is anybody's guess. Quote
TFBillsfan Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I can’t remember when the demo will be of the old stadium. Is it before the season starts? Quote

Wacka Posted May 4 Posted May 4 They are going to need to stage all the equipment for the demolition of the concerte and the filling in of the hole, and will need the parking for the games, so it is very likely that will happen a year from now. 1 Quote
