So for the extremely OCD guy, why are the red and blue seats mixed…I’m suffering here

It upsets my OCD as well, but apparently it looks better to some people.

We do it in large seating venues all the time. It’s trendy, but it also helps seating sections look full even when they aren’t. And, it’s better for when you have to replace a broken ‘bucket’ as the color match doesn’t have to be perfect

It’s honestly hard to believe that’s Buffalo NY and clearly a design unlike any other NFL stadium. So I guess y’all can have nice things after all!

Go Bills

I kinda like the Futbol stadium look

I believe they think it is more aesthetically pleasing and sophisticated to emulate a stochastic presentation. Either that or the robot bisons told them what to do.

Bravo!

On TV It makes the stadium look full even if it's not. Not that we have a problem right now.

I finally found something I hate with the new stadium. That red bar, at the 1:20 minute mark in this video. But I won't be seeing it, so I guess that is good.

I’ve been really enjoying reading the various WNY news outlets’ reports and looking at their videos and photos after being given a stadium “tour” earlier this week. At 93% completion you can really see things coming together. The big takeaway, which will be a total bummer for @Einstein, is that just about everyone cites a “wow” factor and how elevated the experience is going to be for fans. It’s peculiar that not one thing I’ve read or heard from folks who have been inside includes the word “cheap” since everyone knows Pegula took the easy, inexpensive route in how the stadium was designed and built.

The Buffalo Plus folks (Jenna and Dan) said in their podcast that the wind reduction technology is absolutely a real thing, noting that on the day they toured it was very windy outside yet on the field there was only a “slight breeze.”  They reported that the Bills are still testing things and the whole system isn’t even fully in place yet.  That is pretty friggin’ cool.

I am getting super excited about seeing the stadium and my seats!

I wish the team was doing tours prior to the “soft openings”, but last I knew they were not.

Will the new stadium host any concerts over the summer or will the first event there be a Bills game.

No.

Frank Cravotta said on One Bills Live yesterday that there would not be any concerts.  They need to keep the field in pristine condition.   Probably the bills first scrimmage will be the first fan attended event.

I think it looks amazing and perfectly fitting with the design of the stadium

Haha. We can agree to disagree.

There may be some “soft” openings over the summer (perhaps invitations to club seat holders or something like that) but the first true “fan” event will be the “return of blue and red” scrimmage.  They also said they have two preseason games at home and the Bills won’t petition the league to change that as they will use those games as further test runs before the regular season opener.

Yea apparently that's the "I'm rich or I know someone who's friends with x" area.

I’m really struck by how lush and green the natural grass is, especially coming out of winter. Maybe all the technology underneath it is actually living up to its billing. Hopefully it holds up throughout the season.

Apologies if it was already mentioned, but one thing that kinda stinks, Imo anyway, is it looks like players won't be able to jump into the stands after they score. I'm actually kinda surprised with how much thought was put into the stadium, that they didn't have spots by the end zones where players could do this

This has been discussed a little bit on here before.  While I agree from a fan's POV it does suck but I think that was done intentionally.  I think in today's NFL they don't want to have these type of player/fan interactions.  Think of what happened with Lamar a couple years back or with DK Metcalf last season.

It's part of the old school charm we will be losing by trading in the Ralph for the new bells and whistles stadium.

It was mentioned somewhere in this thread I think, but in any case, it’s clear that the NFL wants to move away from that, and I can understand why.  I’ve always thought it was pretty silly and provides an opportunity for either the player or fans to be hurt as well.

Not sure it’s true as the reps seem to make things up, but my rep said there’s a minimum height now for row 1 in new stadiums set by the NFL.  I’d assume it’s for sightlines if true.

I guess, but it takes away that small market appeal that buffalo and green bay have/had. Would've at least been cool to have something the players could've stood on or jumped up on to hype the crowd.
