Bills pulled one of their last cap relief levers with the $2M release of McKenzie. Beane is talking about adding a larger back, but I don’t think we need an older veteran, low draft pick would be my preference. Spotrac has Bills at $10M in cap space. One can’t stay healthy and the other doesn’t provide enough juice given Von may miss time and AJ/Basham can’t really be depended upon to make a jump. If we don’t trade Oliver, just draft a a space eating DT in RD3 or RD4. We have nobody under contract for ‘24. I’m just thinking about who will come cheaply. Beane sounded like he didn’t want to push much more into the future. But DT is going to need planning because nobody is under contract after 2024. Miller returning by October is absolute best case scenario...but at what effectiveness? Unfortunately, and yet again, Beane will need to go DL by day 2 of the draft.
