That is funny as just this year I noticed that both Tasker and Brown have strange difficulty in speaking consistently into the microphone....Tasker I almost get as he is not trained in media but I thought Brown was? Regardless, it is curious to me how often they toggle between sounding like they are talking into a pillow and then almost immediately it sounds like they put the microphone up to their lips and proceed to SHOUT into it. It makes their podcast almost unlistenable, yet funnily enough, I sort of anticipate it now so I can work around it. Nonetheless, they come across like it is their first month doing podcasts from their garage. For those media trained, is this some sort of technique?

Big Blitz
I’m so sick and tired of both hosts just agreeing with 98% of what the other guy is saying. Can we get an actual argument on these shows? A counter point to anything? Disagreement with the analytics? I only listen to the am show. Schopp I can’t listen to but people still tell me that’s all Bulldog (laughable) does is nod and agree with him. Buffalo deserves better talk shows. The Old Instigators show with Rivet and Peters was the best one. 1

nosejob
Sad that no one has even mentioned John Murphy. If I could get the radio and TV synced, I listen to Murph and Eric Wood most of the time instead of the lousy TV crews. Sad that Murph had a stroke before the Bengals game and got hardly any mention in the media. I sure hope he has been recovering well. I also miss him on One Bills Live mainly because when he had guests on he asked great questions and pumped the most information for the time slot. I've been a fan since '73 and just never got into hockey. I can't listen to much of the morning show because of that and after 3pm forget it.... for a number of reasons. OBL is my bread and butter and while I can't get the picture of Tasker spitting into the mike out of my head, I enjoy the show. I couldn't stand Brown during the Russ Brandon/Doug Whaley years cause he was such a Brown nose, but since the change he's actually upped his game, seems way more knowledgeable and keeps Steve on track. 1st&Goal
I enjoy OBL but Brownie gets so excited that, one of these days, he's going to swallow that mike! I have had to turn down the volume, when he really gets going. Steve does stumble over some words but I like that he comes across as a normal fan with a players insight. Maddie seems to have a pretty shrill voice and tends to keep talking while her guests are trying to answer her questions.
GerstAusGosheim
I also find it interesting that WGR hosts will quote the podcasters or even bring them on as guests. Like, really, guys? Shouldn't you be the Bills expert discussing interesting facts and insights? Better be careful or one of them might take your job.

They're not Cincinnati, they're not Kansas City... and Miami, in your own division, has a better one-two combo than anything you can put on the field at receiver." Talking about receiver: "For me, Davis is your 3 at best... for my money, and I don't know how much money they're willing to shell out, they need a #2. They tried Isaiah McKenzie a full season in the #3 slot role and he was not consistent enough. They tried to switch people out to fill the role, they even brought back Cole Beasley. That's how bad it was. Because it wasn’t working!" He was pretty critical of the receiving room. I think Chris Brown shoots it pretty straight most of the time, honestly. I think he gets a bad rep.

My list takes into account insights, knowledge, entertainment and listenability. Here's my opinion... 1: Joe Marino - Locked On Bills 2: Jeremy White - WGR 3: Matt Parrino - Shout 4: Ryan Talbot - Shout 5: Joe DiBiase - WGR 6: Steve Tasker - WGR 7: Sal Capaccio - WGR 8: Greg Tompsett - Cover 1 9: Aaron Quinn - Cover 1 10: Mike Schopp - WGR 11: Chris Brown - WGR 12: Nate Geary - WGR 13: Maddy Glab - WGR 14: Pat Moran - Talking Buffalo 15: Chris Bulldog Parker - WGR Notes on list: If Howard was still around, I’d probably put him around 10. Cover1 guys are obviously incredibly knowledgeable, and I learn a lot, but they just don’t have the best voices for radio imho. (doesn't stop me from listening, tho!) Some awards from last season... MVP of the season would be Jeremy White for carrying Howard for the year. Comeback player of the year is Sneaky Joe. The guy was really annoying at first, but has gotten a lot better and has grown on me. Unless he’s hosting solo, then he’s brutal. Most overrated would be for sure Sal, he obviously has a radio voice and, as the beat writer, has access to a lot of information, but he’s just too much of a Bills homer and comes across as arrogant – so loses more points there. Also, Sal, we get it, you love your son, but literally no one is interested! Like, no one at all! Almost un-draftable for me is Bulldog. He sounds like he has marbles in his mouth when he talks and consistently runs out of breath before every sentence finishes. Whattaya’ll think? Jeremy has been flat out annoying recently. Mof most of the Bills media has been horrible. All they want to talk about is Wr . Yes it’s a need I realize that but u can’t force feed a need . This is the worst yr in draft for wideouts and free agency. I think we should kick that need into next off-season. We have to draft Bpa it’s a must especially in a weak yr for the draft like this one.

If he blows another 13 seconds or fails to make it to the AFCCG again, he could easily get canned, and he wants to make sure that he has a top 5 D so he lands a DC job for the next gig. HenryJones
1. Joe Marino 2. Joe Buscaglia -Chris Simms when he talks Bills -Greg Cosell when he talks Bills 3. Mike Catalana 4. Sal Capaccio 5. Chris Brown 6. Steve Tasker 7. Dan Fetes 8. Anthony Prohaska (Cover 1 Kid) 9. Greg Thompsett 10. Mike Schopp 11. Vic Carrucci 12. Erik Turner (Cover 1 Founder) 13. Jenna Cottrell 14. Bulldog 15. Josh Reed I feel as knowledgeable as the majority of these people, but specifically have disdain for over a handful of them for their political virtue signaling of their beliefs. They talk as if they are assuredly correct, and is a huge turnoff for me as I’m of the belief they are all idiots and brats for acting that way. Matt Parrino, Nate Geary, and Greg Thompsett are the biggest offenders. Bruce Nolan, Jay Skurski, Thad Brown are turn offs. Steve Mathis is a joke. Chris Trapasso is ok enough, I guess. Matthew Bove doesn’t really move the needle for me. Ryan Talbot is sort of just an agreeable sidekick to Matt Parrino, who isn’t really very knowledgeable as is, just able to produce a podcast with connections. Kevin Massare doesn’t bring much to the table. Joe Miller is just a fan, like we are. Same with Rico. Aaron Quinn, the same. Maddi Glab is at her best when interviewing new Bills on who they are and what they like, personally. Edited March 20 by HenryJones

BuffaloBillsGospel2014
Man I thought I was old, I don't listen to these blowhards on WGR, Sirius sports radio has alot of unbiased opinions and options and takes from people who actually have knowledge about the teams and players. I can only imagine back when I listened to WGR (about 8 years ago) Mike Schoop would start talking about the football draft or hockey players and then start talking about his personal life and all sorts of nonsense and I'm 100% certain that hasn't changed. You guys have to get out of the stone age and listen to actual people who have better knowledge then those guys, there are tons of free podcasts that are way better then those guys and you can thank me later. Norcalbillsfan
Joe marino is far and away #1 for me. He's unbiased and knows the game better than most on this list. I think people don't like joe because he forms opinions solely on facts, some people like the guys that yell opinions in to the microphone, not me. Unpopular opinion the more I listen to Tasker the less I like him. He speaks so soft, then raises his voice to almost a yell at random times and it blows the speakers out of my truck. He seems to be less and less informed every season and he will never say bad things about coaches or players. Nates voice drives me nuts.
