Im inclined to believe this makes it less likely Edmunds comes back. 
 

The rationale for a big Edmunds contract was to backload it, so it hits heavy when Milano comes off the books.. as to not have so much tied up year to year at LB. 
 

Now, with Milano locked up long term, we’d just be locking in two high paid LB’s long term.  Not sure that’s a luxury a team paying a QB 40M+ can afford.

I agree. Milano didn't lose a step without Maine. Makes you wonder if he helped him look good. There's a clear difference in talent between the 2.

 

Could easily plug in a LB for half his price and not see much , if any drop off
