Also, they did pick WRs, not some bum O-lineman. They may not have hit on those particular pocks, but that's ok......because they still won SBs. Come on... Yeah, 3 years later, the Bills have a ton of needs on Offense. WR is definitely 1. O-line too. Maybe Beane and his scouts will have an epiphany. DK was literally the talk of the draft/ combine that year, all you hand to do is Google DK Metcalf combine to get all the articles drooling over him. 6'3" 228 jacked monster at WR with 4.33 speed, 27 reps. 40+ vert is absolute insanity and one of the best showings ever for a WR. He absolutely tanked the shuttle and 3 come which he got laughed at for with people saying he doesn't know how to turn. They reason he fell so far in the draft was a bad neck injury his final year in college... the dude fractured his neck and he was actually told he would never play football again, a second opinion told him he could have a surgery that would allow him to play again. A neck fracture is an enormous risk… in the event something goes wrong and he can’t play… you’re likely the same guy on here saying “Why would they take a guy when there were serious injury questions?” Those are legitimate things you need to weigh as a GM… and every team viewed it pretty similar. These tests aren’t all that random, they most often follow a great performance. I’m surprised Gabe Davis wasn’t “randomly” drug tested after his 4 TD playoff performance last year. Quote Offseason tests aren't part of the random testing protocol. So this wasn't remotely random. From the PES Policy summary from the NFL: Players under contract who are not otherwise subject to reasonable cause testing may be tested during the off-season months at the discretion of the Independent Administrator, subject to the collectively bargained maximum of six (including blood tests) off-season tests. Random testing during the season is done by computer and despite what the other guy said is actually random.
