They didn’t have enough of them this year as it was, getting down to their fourth by yesterday and ending their season. If anything the Niners should be keeping Lance AND Purdy and then draft and sign 10 more. But it’s not like he stepped on the Bears or some other crappy team. It is a team that was very well set up for a qb to succeed. It’s why if you look at Jimmy G’s stats and “wins” in a vacuum, they look really good. But the reason the 49ers look to replace him is because it’s a system made for a lot of qbs to look good in. could Purdy be the long term guy? Possibly. But when teams get tape on you and make adjustments, it becomes a different animal. And this injury is another huge obstacle for hkm.
