Purdy torn UCL out 6 months, seeking 2nd opinion

I always thought that he was going to turn into a pumpkin. Salute the guy for not being scared but that team is a qbs dream. I also respect the 49ers for realizing this and not settling for average qbs. Be real interested if they go after a big old plastic fish

Niners should trade him. Kings ransom awaits

No one is giving up that much for him. Every sane person realizes he’s a product of that system.

Lol why would the 49ers trade any of their QBs?? They didn’t have enough of them this year as it was, getting down to their fourth by yesterday and ending their season. If anything the Niners should be keeping Lance AND Purdy and then draft and sign 10 more. Just to be make sure they have enough for 2023.

Jimmy G is gone.  They have to keep both Purdy & Lance.

An injury is not "turning into a pumpkin." Purdy was extremely impressive.

His poise was great. But it’s not like he stepped on the Bears or some other crappy team. It is a team that was very well set up for a qb to succeed. It’s why if you look at Jimmy G’s stats and “wins” in a vacuum, they look really good. But the reason the 49ers look to replace him is because it’s a system made for a lot of qbs to look good in.

could Purdy be the long term guy? Possibly. But when teams get tape on you and make adjustments, it becomes a different animal. And this injury is another huge obstacle for hkm.

So would Kirk Cousins or David Carr.

F*** no!  Too much Iago in those two, both would think they're Josh Allen caliber.  You would need extra bodyguards, and a food taster for Allen if the Bills ever ended up with either of those two yokels as QB2.
