I’d be shocked in Hyatt makes it to our 2nd round pick. OT Wright and Hyatt would be amazing to come away with. 2 immediate impact players

Let the board fall on this one, and while Bills fans would be apoplectic after the first two rounds (calling for McBeane's removal, no doubt) I think the rest falls nicely (probably unrealistically) for perceived needs and long term value. And of course, BUILD THE TRENCHES

27. Lukas Van Ness - EDGE Iowa

59. Calijah Kancey - DT Pitt

91. Matthew Bergeron - OT Syracuse

130. Ricky Stromberg - OC Arkansas

137. Bryce Ford-Wheaton - WR West Virginia

205. Max Duggan - QB TCU

27. Lukas Van Ness - EDGE Iowa

91. Matthew Bergeron - OT Syracuse

130. Ricky Stromberg - OC Arkansas

137. Bryce Ford-Wheaton - WR West Virginia

205. Max Duggan - QB TCU

The first three players in this list are shown being drafted dramatically later than the consensus for them.  If each is as advertised they won't be available at those pick positions.  If they are available it raises the question of why did they fall so far.  None of those guys is exactly under the radar. But if they just slipped because everyone is drafting on need and ignoring BPA, all would be good picks at those spots.

Stromberg looked sluggish and doughy to me when watching the combine on TV.  Maybe not fair to assess him on that. But I liked him a lot going into the combine and not so much after watching. But I am certainly not an expert.  Ford-Wheaton seems like a great athlete. He is probably most Athletic starting WR to only have 3 100 yard receiving games in three years as a starter. Seems a very worthwile project.  But the lack of actual production is concerning. On the other end of the spectrum, there are a couple of guys Xander Hutchinson and Charlie Jones who are far athletic but had great production at the WR spot. For later round draft picks I would be curious if "great athletes" or "good football players (based on production) translate more often to NFL success. Duggan also has been in the spotlight, and underwhelms pundits as a potential NFL QB.  If I was grabbing back up QB with the 205 pick, I would take Clayton Tune over Duggan.

Scanning through all of these it appears consensus is forming around the Tennessee RT. Is that because everyone is just jumping on this week’s bandwagon? Or do these draft programs consistently show him as the BPA at 27? Or is Wright legitimately moving up the national pundit Boards?

For me, I just like a little more meat in the seat😅. About 20lbs heavier than Harrison and I think he has a little more position flexibility? I read he can play LT, RT and Guard. So IF we were to go OL at 27 and add someone to push Brown I'd prefer Wright and if Brown shows up, maybe put him at RG or put him at RG for a year and take over RT next year. Not necessarily the best use of draft capital,  but an option.

I haven't watched many of the pundits lately,  but it does appear he is trending upwards over the last couple of months.

Thanks! I keep thinking it’d be better if they could coach up Spencer. He’s simply too tall to play Guard so it seems like he’d end up just riding the bench. IMO our biggest need is at both Guard spots. If the Bills could solidify the center of the line with some affordable rookie talent that would last the duration of Josh’s contract that would be ideal.

I think if Brown could lock down the RT spot it would be the best option.

I was on the Dawand Jones train, but after further thought, I changed my position on him due to lack of flexibility. Would be one heck of a right side if you could put Brown and Jones there.😱.

I agree. I think G would not be a good spot for Brown, so it's kind of RT or swing/BU. He appears to have the physical tools for RT, I'm hoping it shows this season. 🙏

One of my concerns with getting a RG in the draft would be us putting a rookie next to Brown and I just don't like that idea. I was hoping they would have gotten a young vet in FA (Risner was my choice) to pair on the right side and put Bates back at LG. But, as it sits now, it looks like Bates at RG. Time will tell if it's the right call. 🤷‍♂️

If Darnell Wright is there at #27 he should be our pick.

And I wouldn't hate it.

There is a thread debating Campbell vs Wright going on. I can see both sides, but I lean more Campbell. Right now we have a RT already on the roster going into his 3rd year. Rookie, injured so this will be his year to prove its his position or time to move on.

As it sits now, we have no idea what we are doing at MLB. So my questions are, which rookie would be best to start? Which is worth the #27 pick in value/need? Which position is more successful for a rookie to start in?

I'll be honest. I don't know if I had to choose between Campbell and Wright right now, which I would take. I'd like them both.😁
