my eyes say otherwise

Bills fans eyes are full of beer goggles

Nate Hackett was the quarterback coach and offensive coordinator calling plays for the Jaguar team that went to the AFC championship game

With a very average quarterback in Blake Bortles

Hackett coached him up to over 4500 yards and 35 passing touchdowns… Both would’ve been franchise records before Josh

And it’s not Blakes talent.. It was Hacketts coaching ability to get the most out of him

Russell Wilson mailed it in in Denver hence why he apologized to the head coach he had fired… If you did your best you don’t need to apologize

Our problem here is we stuck Hackett with a terrible quarterback in EJ Manuel And then gave him a retired Kyle orton

And again Hackett made Orton click into our offense

Is he built to be a head coach? no

The dude is a really good quarterback coach and a better offensive coordinator than what we have

People can say “well he has success with Rodgers”, I would say…”I could too “…Aaron do your thing where you win games…oh you don’t want to go past playoffs? That’s cool too!

Guy had Russell (I’ve said is washed up since Buffalo game) and couldn’t win much more than a coin flip. This is a good day!

How does Hackett keep getting jobs in the NFL?  Dude was a tire fire in Denver and the only success he had as an OC was with a HOF QB.

That’s not true … First the Denver problem was as much Russell Wilson as it was him

And I’m a huge huge Russell Wilson fan… The fact he apologized to nate after he was fired showed he didn’t put the work in… There’s no need to apologize if you gave your best in the NFL

second, in Buffalo the guy got the ghost of EJ Manuel and retired Kyle Orton … And he took Orton into an offense he never learned… and had us within 1 game of the playoffs and the single most passing ypg in Bills history at the time

then with Jacksonville he was QB coach , OC and calling plays … Helped lead the Blake Bortles jaguars to the AFC championship game… Where Bortles had over 4500 yards and 35 touchdowns on the season

both would have been franchise records pre josh … His ability as a quarterback coach and an offensive coordinator is absolutely not in doubt

I’d rather have him then dorsey

Broncos hired Hackett to get Rodgers.  Got Russ.

Jets hire Hackett to get Rodgers.  Derek Carr, confirmed.

Love this hire!  If they get Rodgers or not this is interesting and overall not a good thing for the Jets.

IF they get Rodgers they might get a good year with him and make a playoff push, but, no long term success.

Love this!

Read my post right below yours

He is universally thought of in football circles as a great quarterback coach who can turn an offense around

The Denver debacle is way more on Russell Wilson… Hence why Russell apologized to Nate after getting him fired… If you put in all the work you don’t need to apologize to your coach in the NFL

He got a below average EJ Manuel and a retired Kyle Orton to work with… He prepped Kyle Orton in a new offense to the most passing yards per game in bills history before josh

Went to Jacksonville where he had very average Blake Bortles… Was his quarterback coach , offensive coordinator and play caller…. Helped lead the jags to the AFC championship game

And coached Blake Bortles to over 4500 yards and 35 touchdowns… Both would be Bill’s records pre-Josh Allen

He’s a much better quarterback coach and coordinator than Dorsey

Time will tell. All those places did have decent sitting casts and defenses to help carry those teams, especially the jags. 🤷🏼‍♂️

He won’t have many excuses if they fail to produce in jersey

It takes a good team to win in the NFL… But a good defense doesn’t account for 4500 yards and 35 passing touchdowns

His system and coaching ability turned Blake Bortles into a good player for him… He is a great quarterback coach

He would do wonders for Josh Allen… Dorsey took a ready-made guy and plateaued him

Hackett Could develop an offense that would have us clicking… Josh would be a 5000 yard guy

The hate on him is crazy because he coached a terrible EJ Manuel and retired Kyle Orton, With Doug Marrone nobody else liked here lol

Every quarterback that has been willing to listen to him has been significantly improved

A god D does take in to account when it gets the ball back for that offense to move.
Blake B was not a bad QB, same sense Baker is a bad QB one could argue.

You going to mention how he shot Rodgers numbers up to, or was that due to front office letting his WRs walk? Everything he done in Buffalo, was done when we had a rushing game that set up passing and pretty darn decent D as well.
whatever happened in Denver want all on him, but it was evident he lost that team pretty early on.

What's curious and interesting in these situations is how much success the individual has in the new role with the new organization.  Past performance does not indicate future returns, and with the Scheißshow that is the New Jersey Jets, get the popcorn. 😁
