So...is it a rebuild or is it a try again?

We need a new interior O line.  Boettger could help.  Bates may be better at C.  But we need significant upgrades either through FA or draft.  Let Kromer tell you who he needs.

I wouldn’t mind moving Bates to C if Morse decides to retire. I don’t see them moving on from a locker room guy like Morse but I would seriously consider blowing the entire line up and starting over. Would look to upgrade both Guard positions and bring in tackle that can compete with Brown. Would consider moving Dawkins to the right side if team can find someone better at pass protection.

It’s a “try again”. We had A LOT working against us this year. Beane will make some moves over the off season and reload for another shot next season.

Yes retool/rebuild, let the young guys on D line mature.  Von makes the whole D better.  Gotta keep Maine.  Get the best O lineman early in draft.  Also a wr.  Pick up another O lineman in middle rounds.  Throw in a couple free agent secondary players, and we can win AFCE again if we don’t get those dreaded injuries again.  Without injuries this year, we would’ve brought home the trophy!

Rebuild? Cmon. This team is a few adjustments away from being a championship team

Bengals were 2-14 in 2019.

Imagine the same Bills team with ONE dominant OLineman and Von Miller playing all year. And mostly, imagine those same players having coaches doing great schemes for them. And they CAN be Superbowl champs.

Today the DLine laying a complete egg and the coaches' schemes were the main reasons for the loss. Not the players overall.

For starters here is my first steps from a personnel standpoint.

1. Let Poyer walk

2. Let Edmunds walk

3. Trade Oliver to avoid his salary for next year and get a 2nd or 3rd for him.

4. Use the above money saved above to go sign the best two OL available regardless of position.
5. Determine if Mitch Morse is going to retire and if so and rework his contract to spread out any hits.
6. Determine if Dawkins and Brown are capable of playing Guard.

7. Do not re-sign  or sign any “special teams “ace” (other than Ferguson). No Jones, Neal, Kumerow, Mattekevich.

8. Explore resigning Daquan Jones.

9. Tell Josh Allen and $8M/year salary reduction would do wonders for getting an improved OL or an improved 2nd WR.

Rex might be willing to be our DC. “Is this thing on?”

Maybe Hackett would come back. I heard he’s a boy genius.

You guys are completely nuts. All of you.

Repeating same thing expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. Time for change.

As a front office and coaching staff, the Bills need to be painfully honest with themselves.

It may not be time for a complete rebuild.  But it's definitely time to rethink how this franchise was constructed and make some major changes.

Unfortunately, the Super Bowl window has closed on this group of players.

Free agency is probably going to take away Jordan Poyer.  Possibly Tremaine Edmunds.  We may never see Tre White regain his Pro Bowl form.  Due to age and coming back from major injuries, we really can't count on Von Miller or Micah Hyde returning to form.  The top draft selections we've made over the last 3-4 years have failed to develop into anything more than low-end starters and backups... Ed Oliver, AJ Epenesa, Greg Rousseau, Boogie Basham.  The defense needs a complete overhaul.

On offense, we are pretty much Josh Allen, a close-to-30 Stefon Diggs and a bunch of guys who are replaceable.  Worse yet, our offensive scheme is not built for bad weather, despite playing in a city that has 4-5 awful wind/snow games every single season.  The more we pile on Allen's plate and force him to carry this team alone, the bigger risk we take that he will get injured or mentally drained.

The number-one priority in the offseason needs to be re-allocating our draft/cap resources into the O-Line.  Build a team that can protect the QB and open holes for the RB.  Second priority should be adding reliable weapons who can get open and move the chains.

Yup.  That's exactly my point.  Need to get younger and fast.
