Beane’s mediocre draft record

Stop looking around for players and coaches to blame. The last 4 drafts haven’t given this team a single star.
A couple decent role players like Oliver, Rousseau, Knox, Singletary and Dane and that’s about it.  Brutal misses like AJ, Boogie, Moss and Ford.
The most egregious being the OL and DL.
So when Josh plays bad, this team is not good because Beane has done an awful job in 1-3 rounds the last 4 years.

I mentioned this another thread too, but Beane has done a solid job of stocking the team with “good” players. But very very very few “elite” players. We have no Bosa’s, or Watts, or Chris Jones etc.

And he doesn’t seem to want to give up draft assets to acquire an elite asset like McAffrey.

This is something that needs attention.

Our rookies cannot get a jersey on game day at positions of serious need.

Cook was a non factor almost all season. Elam barely dressed. His never ending 1st and 2nd round DL are invisible.

This years might be the worst.  Like you said, other than Shakir, we didn’t have a single rookie make a difference today and most of the year. Everyone wants to crown Cook but he’ll never be a 3 down back.  He is the softest runner I’ve ever seen.  And LOL at Bernard.  That pick was bizarre.

Our first rounder this year couldn’t even get on the field.

Will need to draft HoF caliber players.

Not a lot of Super Bowls are won by teams who field just one super-generational talent. On this team we have Josh and….?

Call me crazy but I could see Pegula firing Beane and keeping McDermott.  Sean was here before Brandon and Beane hasn’t been all that great with the picks he’s used on the defensive side of the ball. We went all in with the Von contract and that is gonna hurt us next year.

Beane and Frazier out.  Dorsey stays imo especially if we lose Joe Brady.  McDermott is too close and has done too much for Terry to can him, for better or for worse.

Reviewing a draft without context is foolhardy.  Look at his drafts compared to the other teams and he has done a good job.

Because every team hits on all draft picks?

My points. Look a the All Pro Team. Not many All Pros on Bills. We could use more.

Without context of what?

Never said that but expecting a single impact player isn’t a very lofty expectation.
