Yes Hackett was in over his head, but no matter who the coach is there they won't win with a QB who is finished especially in the same division as the Chiefs and Chargers given their respective QB situations. I suppose I’m more offense minded, and when I think Payton vs Harbaugh, my brain instantly goes to Brees. I remember that 49ers team having some great defensive players, but recall very little beyond that. They're also very much behind Tua as the starter next year and reports about them being in on Carr/Garropolo/Etc is extremely unlikely.
