That cover 1 video above is very interesting. Earlier I mentioned that I thought the Bengals would play 2 deep safeties all game, but it's obvious they don't like to do that. Very interesting because the Bills are very good at play action passes. If that is how Cincy wants to play defense, they are in for a very rude awakening. They do not want to leave a WR with single coverage against the Bills. Josh is excellent at finding that receiver. Bengals D is overall #8. Jets is #4. (Bills are #2) Jets D is #5 for pass NY/A given up. Bengals D is #19. (Bills are # 8, with rounding, tied for #6) Jets D is #6 for rush Y/A given up (with rounding, tied for #4). Bengals are #9, with rounding tied for #8. (Bills are #14, with rounding tied for #11) I don't quite "get" the narrative that the Bills D is gonna get boat raced, is weak against the pass, etc etc. To read some of the stuff, you'd think the Bills overall have a mediocre D instead of a top D. Play action passes over the middle intermediate depth. Greg Cosell says Knox is the man to watch. Goin Breakdown Posted January 1, 2023 Share Posted January 1, 2023 (edited) This has been such a crazy week for the Bills. They are being trash talked more than I've ever seen by an opponent. The media has seemed to turn in them (not that anyone really cares). Here's my tinfoil hat thoughts. Bangles are talking trash in attempt to get the Bills to play heated. This is all in my head but I feel like when the Bills get all scrappy, they play sloppy and get themselves in situations where flags are thrown. Im expecting to see a fired up Bills team.
