He's a horrible person

Because Congress gives the NFL anti trust legislation among other privleges...so they have some oversight

The Oversight Committee is in place to watch over fraud and abuse and ethical violations of CONGRESS. WTH this had to do with Congress is baffling.

As far as I can tell, had nothing to do with anti trust exceptions etc.

The EEOC is an independent federal department. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for Congress to use their oversight and control by sponsoring an investigation on their behalf. Especially with regards to a company that has been given congressional exemptions.

We need to start more legends of Dan Snyder what other things can we attribute to him?

Dan Snyders ancestor brought plague rats to Europe?

Dan Snyders grandfather was a guard at auschwitz?

Dan Snyder farmed baby seals for pelts?

This guy is quickly becoming infamous as they all try to destroy eachother!

Congress should find better things to do.

Yeah, like monitoring the the special tax status/monopoly that congress allotted the NFL, and that the league enjoys, ya can’t trust any billionaires, they are all suspect.

Funny that he's already initiated process to sell the team, ergo they got him out.  But they're still going after him for a..."toxic work environment."

NFL must have some friends in Congress, but not surprising given how the anti-trust exemption just never seems to get up for a vote.

Snyder is no angel...but this is how the power players operate: to destroy enemies.

So Snyder is a victim here?

Billionaires have been running this country since the robberbarron years. The moment Reagan de- regd the trust laws it was a given it would stay that way. The dems complain about big business but don’t even force any movement toward competition and the GOP complains about tech but won’t dare force competition. It’s setup for the mega rich to limit competition and rule the country by both parties.

also… wait a second… the House Oversight Committee?  I thought they were keeping the investigation within the District of Columbia city administration.  Or does that automatically default to the U.S. House of Representatives?

Either way, those dudes and dames have muuuuuuuch bigger fish to fry than this crap.

Sure, bigger fish, smaller fish and other fish.

None of which should prevent them from frying this fish or any other they want.

I have a very low opinion of Dan Snyder -- who doesn't? -- but there's no legitimate reason for this to be the subject of a congressional inquiry.  If we want people like Dan Snyder to refrain from abusing their power, maybe we should start by asking our elected officials to refrain from abusing theirs.

We would all be a lot better off in many aspects of our lives if we stopped seeing every conflict as having a "good guy" and a "bad guy."

This particular episode is like one of those times in Lord of the Rings when the orcs turn on one of their own.  We don't feel bad for the poor orc who gets eaten, but we still realize that the orcs doing the eating are not heroes.

There really is reason for it..

The NFL's been given various protections in terms of things like antitrust exemptions. That makes them of interest to Congress. All of which has been determined and known for decades.

You might not like Congress. Fair enough. But they do have an iron in this fire.

I didn't call anyone a hero. Snyder is a piece of crap human being and we've all seen that for years.

You don't have to criticize him if you don't want to.

But there's nothing wrong with others doing so.  He's hurt many people, women, that's repulsive.
