Beast
Kelly winning the Grey Cup makes a lot of sense. After all, he looks like most Canadians I know with those lopsided eyes.

The Grey Cup is like the Stanley Cup in that the trophy is older than the league that plays for it. https://www.rcinet.ca/en/2015/05/14/history-may-14-1874-how-canada-created-american-football/ you cited a Canadian source. Here is a better one. Now go eat Tim Hortons And the article has an "inferiority complex" sound to it. (A Canadian invented basketball--so what? Invented in the US). Also, don't tell Canada, Americans invented hockey if you use the logic from the football article: https://www.history.com/news/who-invented-hockey-origins-canada https://www.history.com/news/who-invented-football really, like most things, the real origins are unknown as new modifications take old games and make them different. A fun rabbit hole to go down.

Big Turk
Wonder if he is still viewed as the f**k up of the family now after that one? C.Biscuit97
With respect to him because he reps Buffalo. But he is one of the dumbest human beings on earth. But congrats to getting paid to play football still.

He can have a nice career in the CFL. If he works hard for a few years, he might even get a Warren Moon/Doug Flutie NFL shot.

Seems like it was so long ago now, I still wish him well....like KYLE ALLEN kicking some Fins ass with the Texans on Sunday! I'm taking the plus 550! Sorry, didn't know what thread to throw that in. QLBillsFan
Man CK can’t seem to get it. How about be thankful the Argos took a chance on him. He came off the bench for one nice drive to help lead them to the Grey Cup. Immediately shows zero humility saying he can start for half teams in the NFL. A few of which felt he wasn’t good enough to even be on the practice squad. No question he has great talent. But, after having the opportunity he had, coupled with his absolute arrogant approach to his career its hard to see he’s learned much. I wish him well. Not optimistic he’s gotten it together as a person to get it right.

Someone upthread mentioned that Canada has a long history of playing a more rugby based version of football, as long or longer than most places in the USA. I was providing an example and context to back it up. Some people are interested in the history of the sport they devote so much time and resources to. The evolution of association football (soccer), rugby, American football and Canadian football is interesting to me.
