frostbitmic
We're 4th in the league in scoring despite Allen's generous streak of late, why do we need to replace the OC ? If Reich could bring J. Taylor with him I'd think about it, otherwise I'll stick with the guy that Josh wanted as his OC.
NoName
What's so bad about Dorsey? Personally, I think he's doing better than Dabol. We didn't lose the game because of Dorsey. We lost the game because of turnovers, exceptional plays by the Vikings and epic screwups by the Bills. 1

CoudyBills
5 hours ago, JohnNord said: I saw people clamoring for Frank Reich on Twitter the other day and it made me think of this question. From what I’ve read Reich is happy to take a break from the NFL and spend time with his family (while collecting Irsay’s money). His sights are set on choosing his job next season - whether it’s as head coach or OC. So obviously this is all hypothetical, but a fun topic nonetheless… If it was up to you, would you trade Ken Dorsey for Frank Reich? On paper it seems like a slam dunk but there are a few things to consider: We’re only 9 games into the Dorsey tenure as OC and I don’t think there’s been enough time to completely assess his job. He’s had some good moments and bad but he also hasn’t been a complete train wreck that you’d midseason. Keep in mind he was Daboll’s first choice to call plays, so there’s a chance that he could be a very good OC - we just don’t know yet. The human dynamic - remember Dorsey was Josh’s first choice to succeed Daboll. Would replacing Dorsey, somewhat prematurely, piss off the most important player on the team? Reich’s offense in Indianapolis - FR has a reputation as a good offensive mind based largely on his work in Philadelphia. But his offenses in Indianapolis were often inconsistent. Of course, there are all kinds of reasons for that (QB) but his teams typically had lots of highs and lows in Indy. The dynamic of Reich returning to Buffalo - Reich is among one of the most memorable and well-loved players in team history . The Pegulas and Sean McDermott always spoke highly of him. This is a move that fans will definitely get excited about. So if you had to make the call today, what would you do? Sirianni may have been the secret to Frank's offensive successes in Indy. buffaloboyinATL
I voted no, but I wouldn't mind Reich being brought in as a consultant or something. He is a great football mind, in my opinion, and I would love to have him back with the Bills.

Eh - the key is to not turn it over as much and Indy has been almost as bad as buffalo in that regard. Fun fact- buffalo has turned the ball over on 18.9% of offensive possessions, and lead the league in turnover%. The Giants have the lowest the league at 5.3%. At the same time... we have punted the ball 18 times this year.

cale
If anything my main question is "What is Joe Brady, the current QB coach, actually doing?" Seems like Josh has regressed these last 2-3 weeks. Isn't that the QB coach's responsibility?

But … isn’t this kind of how it works if the Bills don’t make it to the Super Bowl this year? (Not “win the Super Bowl” just make it to the Super Bowl). Coaches are frequently canned when a very talented team seems to be unable to get over the hump. Not saying it’s right or fair, just that it’s a fact. So yes, if that happens this suddenly becomes a very attractive job for a Payton or any other high-profile coach out there hoping to grab one more ring. 2 minutes ago, boater said: Only fans who are over the age of 50, and that's being generous. Eastport bills
A little premature to lose confidence in an OC and talk replacements. He’s 6and 3 and 2 losses were turnover fests which spelled doom. Having said that, the offense is too QBcentric and he shows no desire to establish a run game which is essential in cold and windy places. He’s also slow in bringing Hines into the attack. He better start taking some pressure off our QB or we will be jeopardizing his confidence and incredible talents.

Lazy
You don't have NEVER as a choice Why do people insist on bringing in everybody that they heard of? Frank was lucky in the games he played for the Bills when Kelly was out. He didn't do any better when he was a quarterback and he he isn't better than what we have for a coaches when he got the opportunity so why would you want him. I don't post much but I really wish there was another place that these "so and so was released/fired/died should we take a chance" threads could go(Recycle Bin maybe?). Somebody else got rid of them for a reason, why do you think he/they would the Super Bowl favorite?
jethro_tull
Since Ken Dorsey isn't throwing INTs or making bad snaps and most of the time the play calling is good, I say no at this time. IMHO he seems reasonable and deserves the keys for a while- I just hope he learns from his mistakes sooner rather than later.
