I want to say Man Bills don't usually give up chunk plays.

But...

Our defense does seem to chronically give up gash runs of the 60-80 yard variety more than they should. Big ones last year in Titans, Bucs, and NE games .

At some point, I think you have to look at Fraizer's defensive scheme.

The scheme is designed to take away deep passing.  You can't take away everything.  The likelihood in today's NFL of getting beaten by a deep pass is far higher than getting gashed for an 80 yard run if they tried the reverse. There is never going to be a perfect defensive scheme that takes away everything but Frazier's scheme is sound and works well for the most part.

Anything on Elam? If we can get him and Poyer back this week, beat two bad teams, and then Greg White and Edmunds back within the next few weeks for the stretch run we should be in good shape.

Of course I'm being very optimistic that nothing new pops up. Seems like every time a guy comes back we lose another.
