So then I have two questions:

1.  What other teams on our remaining schedule (including potential playoff opponents on the road) have this particular kind of turf?  Answer:  Detroit (on Thursday) and Cincinnati in the regular season.  Cincinnati and the Jets are potential road playoff opponents with this turf.  The other stadiums with this turf are Minnesota, New Orleans (where Tre was hurt last year), and Indianapolis.

2.  If this is the reason for holding him out, then should we assume he might also be held out on Thanksgiving AND against the Bengals next month?  What about in the playoffs?

Fortunately, the Super Bowl is in Arizona, which doesn't have slit film turf.

Tre isn't playing b/c of the type of turf in Detroit.

Why exactly he isn't playing is the most interesting talking point with this team right now.

I think there is some kind of psychological thing going on with Tre; like being afraid to fly.

Something he needs to get over to get out there and play again.

All indications lead to something like that.

Chase Young is a year out from his injury still not playing.  People have no patience

Low Key Injury News:

David Njoku would be a nice piece returning for the Brownies. He’s finally found his stride as was having his best year yet until injured.

If Njoku plays, it makes it even more difficult to allocate personnel and alignment to stifle the run because he can be a dynamic play maker in the passing game.

With Edmunds out, I’ll definitely be watching to see if he’s available on Sunday.

Hooray we may get three weeks out of him.

Maybe should have just season ending IR'd him and found a replacement

It's not the scenario we wanted but if he can play 3 or 4 games before the playoffs It's better than nothing. I'm more concerned about Tre's psyche' about planting on that knee.

Unlikely.  It's a 1 hour flight, tops.  As long as team can take off by say 8:30-9am.  Then they will be ok, time-wise.

This is obviously worse case/very disruptive.

Team is scheduled to fly out of Cheektowga on a charter plane, late afternoon/early evening Saturday.  Cheektowaga weather looks like it should clear for that to happen.  Getting all players/staff/etc, safely to the airport is step 1.  That to me is the biggest concern/risk, getting team out of town on time saturday.

Here's the plan:

The Bills plane is scheduled to fly from JFK to BUF (Delta 8859) currently scheduled to leave at 11:45 AM and arrive in BUF at 1:03 PM. The flight to Detroit (also DL 8859) is currently scheduled to leave at 3:30 PM and arrive at DTW at 4:42 PM.  The key word here is "scheduled."

Delta, American and FedEx did manage to land a few flights Friday evening but most flights were cancelled.

Looks like actual snowfall on Saturday is not a big issue (until late Sat. evening) so transportation from OP to the airport will be the big drama.

Is that vinyl siding? Bro definitely needs a raise.

Needs a pair of boots and some winter gear too FFS.

Some of these guys from the South...they must feel like they are on Mars right now.

Hamlin is from the Pittsburgh area!  He should know what snow looks like and be a little bit better prepared.

Obviously they have looked into all this, have it more or less figured out, and it's just NOT going to be a big deal, despite everyone here continually trying to make it so.

The proverbial kiss of death!!

In last week's game, they said that the last time a Bills team lost at home with that big a lead at halftime was in like 1968! So of course, we lost.
