If it's gonna be that bad, I hope they re-schedule the game. I don't wanna drive through that ***** coming from Rochester. Only problem is, the Bills play the following Thursday at noon. When the he'll could they reschedule it for??

Much more likely it would be moved to somewhere else

If it's starting Thursday, it's certainly possible that it could be tapering off by Sunday.  You would think the heavy stuff would come earlier, just thinking about previous storms.

If that was the case, they could probably still clear things out enough.  But getting the Browns into Buffalo might be the rub.

Possible but not likely considering they said there is potential for significant accumulations even after the watch expired into early the following week.

When will the new stadium be finished? Buffalo winter weather is brutal!!

Buffalo winter weather isn't that horrible really. It's the south towns where OP is... the lake is right there.

Bills play next Thursday (Thanksgiving). No way the NFL can move this to Monday. That'd be insane. Maybe move it out of town and still get it played Sunday. Knowing the NFL, they want another snow game like the colts/bills back in 2017. My guess is they'll do everythjng they can to keep it in Buffalo

No, it's horrible.  The monster snow dumps do tend to take place in the Southtowns, but not exclusively.

The real killer is gray sky as far as the eye can see for a week at a time, combined with cold air, wind, all signs of life outdoors gone. It's a solid 6 months of death each year, to varying degrees.  Not all max winter weather for the full 6, but it's getting ***** there now!  It won't be nice in Buffalo again until next June!

No, the winter weather IN Buffalo isn't horrible... way worse in other places. My sister lives in SD... it can get horrible there for sure. What I bolded has nothing to do with the game on Sunday.

I remember it well and unfortunately am old enough to remember '77.

Ehh...Northtowns and into Niagara County have the best of it...they only get 40-60 inches on average.  Buffalo itself gets almost 100 inches and is the snowiest largish city in the US. Have also won the National Golden SnowGlobe 2 of the last 3 years for most snowfall which includes all cities over 100K population(including Alaska). Still hold the record for most snowfall in a season of any city with over 100K population as well with 199.2 inches.

But yes, in general the Southtowns gets more snow.

However, the snow isn't the worst of it. the worst are the endless cloudy days where you may not see the sun for 2+ weeks at a time and routinely go 7-10 days without seeing it. That and the wind which is brutal, especially as you get closer to the lake...they have lines strung up downtown for people to hold onto when crossing the street for a reason...
