StHustle
Dalvin is the 10th most productive running back in the league right now. James is the 10th most productive ROOKIE running back in the league right now! Cute poll tho.
Augie
So, this isn’t a recipe thread? One guy is the established “man”, and one guy is just trying to earn snaps. . Edited November 8, 2022 by Augie
without a drought
I'll go with James, more receiving yards. But I wouldn't say to lock it in.
msw2112
I would love to see James out-duel his older brother, but c'mon. Dalvin is a focal point of the Vikings offense and one of the top RBs in the league, whereas James is a lightly-used rookie backup.

Logic
If I get to combine the production of Singletary, Cook, and Hines, and put THAT up against Dalvin Cook... I'd still choose Dalvin Cook.
Captain_Quint
Color me surprised that the vast majority of posters have no faith in our coaches and players to execute a game plan, which involves stopping Dalvin Cook. Hasn't the team demonstrated this type of gameplan in the past? I'm more concerned with Jefferson and Theilen having a field day in the secondary. DCofNC
Over under on James getting 5 touches would be better.

ChasBB
Here is a good article from sportingnews comparing the two Cooks ... https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/james-cook-dalvin-cook-brother-georgia-2022-nfl-draft/asi60q1djluw3pmgal0tae9h Interesting that both backs averaged 6.5 yds per carry throughout their college careers. ngbills
Better question - will James have as many yards as Dalvin carries.
Mat68
I think James Cook starts and gets more carries than Singletary. This will be the shift the rest of the season. Singletary will spell on early downs and short yardage. Cook will be a focal point and he has a breakout game with his family in attendance vs his brother. Only really important stat which brother goes 1-0 in thier matchup. Dalvin could have the better stats and James could still get the DUBS.
