Wonder if it was a similar to the eichel injury?

No, I read a tweet from somewhere that said it was much more straight forward in terms of the surgery and issue compared to Eichel

So by all accounts he should be ready to go by training camp if not a few months before?

Don't think so.  Eichel's surgery involved removing his head from his rear.

Don't think so Eichel's injury was lower and involved the removal of sand from his lady bits.

I have a lot of these but I'll leave it at two.

This is great news for succesful surgery. Get well Hyde. Wish him a speedy recovery

Has anyone heard of a player (this decade) have an unsuccessful surgery?

I'm trying to remember. Medicine is getting so good that it feels like success is the only option now.

this injury is no joke. had a herniation rupture and still can't feel my leg fully

I feel like I have a constant Charlie Horse in my lower back, upper glute because of nerve damage.

The Surgeon who operated on my back is one of the doctors that Eichel saw for an opinion.
