Buffalo Bills

I’m told the Bills don’t have an iron in this fire. Most of the Beckham-to-Buffalo smoke has been manufactured to this point, with his reconstructed knee not rehabbed enough to consider. It’s uncertain if Beckham will be ready to play full-go snaps by December. The Bills also have restricted salary cap space.

Von Miller has banged the drum, playfully declaring his former teammate’s arrival in Buffalo “a done deal.” Beckham has asked Miller on social media about getting the adjoining locker stall at One Bills Drive.

Buffalo is down a couple receivers, with Jamison Crowder sidelined by a broken ankle and Jake Kumerow out with a high ankle sprain. Isaiah McKenzie missed Sunday’s game while recovering from a concussion. That said, the Bills have proven to be deep. Rookie Khalil Shakir scored his first NFL touchdown Sunday. Isaiah Hodginssigned from the practice squad and got involved early, snagging his first NFL pass in the second quarter, a 26-yard gain.

Beckham will be explored, but it appears a lot will need to fall in place (and injury issues to intensify) for the Bills to commit. — Tim Graham

What the hell does any of this mean?

I'm tending towards this being in response to the million dudes at their regular old jobs saying he's a diva and washed, then to refute airport story. JMO

Sheesh. People fantasizing about signing OBJ and CMC.... it's as if the salary cap didn't exist at all.

Yeah cause we have zero way to find the $2-$2.5m this would take 🙄

HOW ARE WE FORGETYONG INJURIES HAPPEN THIS QUICKLY??

A week ago were pining for Jake kunerow, and today we don't need OBJ?

Imagine an injury or two to the WRs again, now imagine in playoffs (seem to remember an AFCCG with 3 top WRs basically shot).

Would anyone have wanted an OBJ for that game??????

Well is he going to sit on the bench?  We have guys that need to be on the field.

Graham...is this journalism? Contradicts himself in the report. Smells more like Timmy has a personal agenda. No surprise

Bills have been stated as a Top suitor for OBJ by CBS, NBC, ESPN and NFL NETWORK.  Sorry Timmy

The Bills are so deep at receiver that they brought up a 3rd year guy from the practice squad and he caught a pass!

Not one person has a photo of this?

I asked. He said he was sitting with a hood on. It was him and a girl.

I asked him to ask around the airport after I saw the tweet.

Our WR depth won’t be tested until

Diggs misses time.

Of course, OBJ is better, but, why you gotta throw shade on our boy Hodgins?  He showed well this week when he finally got an opportunity.

It's not a dig at Hodgins so much as it is reiterating how much of a talent OBJ is as a WR. The people comparing Hodgins or Shakir with OBJ like they're even in the same conversation is kind of laughable.

I think Hodgins is a rosterable NFL WR, but almost certainly a depth piece.

Between his comments that he wanted to be in LA but they low balled him, & the insider info that he's "open" to a Gints return, starting to look like he wants to generate a bidding war to drive up the price. If so, we don't have the $.

Those teams also need him.  The Bills don't need him.  He also is going to get a deal, not some contract for a few weeks.  He makes those teams much better, but he would be nothing but an insurance policy in Buffalo.

yeah all true.  But here’s the but.   Tre needs to play every snap. He needs to be at peak performance to play corner.  OBJ would not be the primary threat and could play a lot less plays and still be effective. Same way LA used him. Cupp/Woods were primary and OBJ was drawing single coverages when in the game.  I’m in the camp that says he’s not coming.  But it’s fun to think about it.

With the way Elam and  Benford developed,White won't have to "Play every snap ".

This is not about now but November.  Post trade deadline OBJ could offer the same juice he offered LA last year.  He has made visits.  He is not only chasing LA the City.  If so he would be content going back.  He is chasing a vibe.  Buffalo is the vibe.  Von knows this.  When healthy Beane will make an incentive rich deal.  Next year get paid.  OBJ, Davis, Diggs is the best wr group in the league all can line up anywhere.  This is a put the chips on the table and win it all move.  Same thing as Von on Defense but OBJ needs to be healthy first.

Its a serious enough knee injury the obvious and ideal team wouldn't sign him until he could pass a physical.
