Saw this on social media.

$5 tickets. 7 pre-season games. 2pm games.

I went with my dad to the NY Jets and Chicago Bears games that year.

I remember my dad had that card and us deciding on what games to go to.

Thanks for the memory.

Opening the season with straight home games? And finishing with four out of five on the road?

Opening Sunday was not until after Labor Day?

Playing Green Bay in the pre-season and again in the regular season?

Playing the Rams of the NFC West as well as two teams from the NFC Central?

Opening at home on MNF?

When they moved to Indy they stayed at 1 pm local time which crested oddball of a later start after clocks changed.

But they didn't move until the 80's.

This happened recently, 2018, against the Bears, they played at Chicago in the last week of Pre-Season, then in Buffalo the first week in November.

Interesting side note for that year, in Pre-Season they played the Panthers, Browns, Bengals, and Bears. If they could have gotten either the Broncos or Bucs instead of Panthers, it would have been all B teams.

John Leypoldt kicked a 52 yard FG on the last play of Washington pre-season game to win it on my 7th birthday.

I was 7 as well that year. But I don't think I officially started following the Bills until the next season.

"Irregardless" is one that drives me crazy. Also, the tautological syllable in "preventative".

“Preventive” is enough you are saying?

I’ve no issues with either sentence you wrote, but what bothers me more is the current use of the verb “do” these days as a catch all for any action.

“Yeah, I’ll do a martini with a lemon twist.”

”I’ll do the rigatoni.”

it used to be that men would use that verb as part of locker room talk. 😀
