Do you have a problem with fans standing the entire game?

Explain how standing “makes it more fun”.  Can’t wait for the response.

Hmm, didn't think this needed explanation.  Ever been to a rock concert where everyone is sitting vs one everyone is standing.  Which one feels more exciting?  Maybe for a Dick Jauron team it is more appropriate to sit, but for Josh Allen and the SB favorites on MNF LFG.

I’ve also sat quite a bit in the clubs the last few years and I’ll say it is very comfortable being able to sit all game. But a few times on 3rd down where you want to stand and cheer, make some noise, bangs on seats, you get yelled at from just about everyone. Completely different crowd.

Clubs have changed, at least in my section.  I'd say for Monday night, people were standing more that 50% of the time.  For last years Pats* playoff game, it was closer to 90% standing during the game.  To the point it was like "not even gonna bother to sit back down, cause I'm just gonna have to stand up again".

I don’t disagree with what’s right,

but none of us are going to change it.  It is what it is.  My 92 yr old dad hasn’t been to a game in decades because he can’t.  He’d rather watch on tv anyway, and he’s very ambulatory and goofs once a week with little problems.

I get it - but there's also a difference between being in a whole section/level that is standing, and being the only ones in a section/area and impeding the people behind.  Stand when others normally do for 3rd down stops etc, but also have some courtesy/awareness of what's going on around you the rest of the time.

My Dad looks forward the whole year to when me and my brother (and now our sons) take him to a game.  He will never want to give that up.

I'm curious what the ADA seating is going to look like in the new stadium (when the renderings come out?)  Last year we convinced my Dad to let us wheel him in cause he had an injury, but still sat in regular seats.  The ADA options are limited at the current stadium, wondering if they'll be expanded

Concerts feel the *SAME*. For the Encore, everyone stands, but that is the end of the show

Depends on the venue also.  I was at the Seneca casino in Salamaca last weekend for a concert.  It was held in their convention center, so a flat floor venue with regular seats.  You had to stand the entire time, only sitting between bands, if you wanted to see the stage.

The clincher to standing all game is to have the added luxury of standing is being behind giant obnoxious head attire guy or fan raising signs to further obstruct viewing the actual event rather than watch the scoreboard like a big TV.

I’m afraid that is where the sniper rifle comes in?

Just a guess, not an admission of any kind, in any state.

For the most part this is going to be younger and healthy vs older and/or with ailments. Simple solution would be to start selling sections for fans that prefer to stand and sections for fans who prefer to sit.

I've often thought the Bills should take one of the smaller corner sections of the 100 level, pull out all the seats, and make it a standing section, for those that want to stand the entire game.

Hopefully the new stadium planners are paying attention to this thread and can create ample of standing only sections for all these super excitable people that can’t be interested in something while sitting.

Wonder what happens when they chew gum and are required to walk some where.

Don’t they (or did they used to) have a “family section” in the end zone?  I’m cool with the idea of a “sit your ass down” section, but I’m not sure how you enforce it, especially upon resale. There will always be “that guy” but a bunch of like minded people should be able to flock. I’d love that. Check that box on your season ticket renewal and voilà!

I had an issue years ago when I brought my two very young nephews 8 and 6 to a game with the rows in front of us not only standing, but standing on the seats. Poor kids couldn’t see anything.
I politely asked if they could sit or not stand on the seats, that didn’t go over well. Later I asked if they could just leave one seat open so the boys could see through. That time I was threatened by roughly 10 drunk guys and they continued on joking about what they should do to me.
Couple minutes later one of those fine gentleman turned around and accidentally dumped his beer perfectly between my large chested girlfriends ummmm chest. He politely offered to clean it off. We stood at the top of the steps and were quickly told by security we couldn’t stand there. They did not care about the issues we had with our seats. And we left shortly after.
It was a very long time ago. San Diego Chargers. Power went out. Phillip Rivers was throwing temper tantrums on the field over the play clock issues with no power. Last game I attended in Buffalo. Silly drunk fans at every game but I made a bad mistake of bringing very young children to their first game and they almost got to see their favorite uncle get beat up by 10 dudes. I’ll stick to watching on tv

With the team being elite and the cost of admission being through the roof I had an excellent experience at the game. I’ve been to 10 games and this was the best one. I think the price of admission keeps the partying riff raff out

All good Steve and philosophically, I agree with you 100%.  I didn’t want you to think otherwise.  I just gave up years ago trying to chg these guys.

Ill give you an example.  My eldest who was 22 at the time were at a Bucs game it must be a decade ago.  We’re in the nose bleeds of Ray Jay in December.

I know you’d not think it,

but 35 degrees and windy.  Two Seattle guys as our opponents were dropping F bombs like it was going out of style so not standing, but give me a second.  I called over the beer girl and bought them each a beer.  I asked them “guys my 12 yr old son and those women who are in front of you who are elderly don’t need to hear that”.  I’m asking you politely to drop the F bombs and just be aware of you’re surroundings.  They actually did and apologized.  I told them not me, apologize to those beautiful ladies (they were in their 70’s). They were so embarrassed.  I told them cheer, just please cheer clean.

They could’ve told me to F off and I would’ve had to walk away.  Best $15 I spent getting these knuckleheads to be respectful of kids and women, especially the elderly.

I’m in Tennessee now.. If I’m gonna make a trip up there it’ll be when the new stadium is ready. I better start saving some money now lol

If I bought beers for the idiots in front of us that I referred to earlier they probably would have chugged it and gave us the finger - or passed out before they finished - which in hindsight might have been a good strategy 😛

My general rules on standing during the game:

Stand on 3rd down for the other team while cheering/screaming

When a deep ball is thrown slowly rise from your seat to a standing position (regardless of the outcome)

After a TD/XP.  Stand until after they kick off again.

That's just me.   I didn't pay for a seat to stand all game otherwise I would buy a cheap ass seat and in the 300s and stand in the tunnel at the 100 level all game.
