Albany,n.y. Posted September 7, 2022 Share Posted September 7, 2022 Starting to look like the 2nd coming of Sam Darnold. Darnold has missed 3,3,4,5 and is out 4-6 already this season. Wilson missed 3 last year & at least 3 more this year. When a young QB keeps getting injured, you don't know whether he's the next Phil Simms, who after some early career injuries put together a string of durable years & could be counted on as the Giants starter, or if he's the next Rob Johnson who would get continuously injured and you could never count on him. It also messes up a team's ability to properly evaluate him whether he's the QB of the future or you need to move on. Flacco may be bad enough that the Jets are in the running for the #1 overall pick. Maybe he has a few good seasons if he stays around long enough (ie tannehill) but I don't see him being Mahomes or Allen anytime soon.
