The Athletic describes the venue design like this: There's basically a big canopy over the field, but the sides of the stadium are open. Together, the sun and the turf can make it feel pretty toasty at field-level when it's hot out SoFi Stadium is "climate-controlled" but does not have air conditioning or a heater, per Local 12, so temps inside could be higher than the readings of the thermometer outside.
