Everything else aside (which is a huuuuuge ask), how is he supposed to play an NFL season when he is the defendant in a lawsuit?

Hypothetically, let's say he's completely vindicated. 100%. How do we know that the way McBean treats their players, and the way they dealt with this that he wouldn't want to come back here.

Fair.

Because he's broke and resorted to drinking shoe polish?

??

How far does $216k signing bonus go?

I guess it depends on if he can settle.

Sometimes you have no choice.  The attorney bills can be as stiff as the settlement, especially in California.

Probably 10 attorneys on here that have an idea on the # of hours.

This is also possible. We don’t know how they handled this with him or what they told him. Just what came across the wire.

He may not have lied from his perspective.   It's very likely that even he didn't know the details included in the civil suit.   That document was written entirely from "Jane Doe's" perspective.

Right, we don’t know the whole story, so for anyone on the sideline to claim that the Bills are beholden to Araiza as part of their “family” is ridiculous.

OK - with Araiza gone, Buffalo has some time before they settle on a new punter.  They can wait for other teams' cuts or sign one of the free agents that are available.  In another thread, somebody suggested Bruce Kern, currently with the Titans, might get cut.  Buffalo Rumblings has a short list of free agents.

The mob turned on the Punt God.

Is Barabbas still unsigned?

so much for innocent until proven guilty

This is not a court of law.  THe NFL and its teams have images to handle and it is their prerogative.  This is a no win situation.  The Bills with a Woman owner has to take care of their image in the society than worrying about the contract of a Punter.

The Bills aren’t the judge and jury, they are not sentencing him to a prison term. They are employers who have the right to run their business the way they see fit.  Not a hard concept.
