You think they will continue to run shotgun spread all the time again........which failed them far too often last season............and I think they will line up and play the game more like they did last week.

Stark difference.   But whether it's "run heavy" or not is to be seen.........good play action from under center gets receivers open either way..........being good at running the ball makes the D be more assignment sound and tires them out.   And you aren't getting there if you don't let your OL play downhill.    These are things that become evident in season but people like yourself always forget in the offseason.

Josh took one snap under center last week.  He is going to take the vast majority of his snaps in shotgun.

I would like to be able to run more effectively.  It would be nice to be able to execute a nice four minute offense.  But there is not going to be a drastic philosophical shift.

Allen played very little.    Keenum played a lot and they ran a ton from under center and the OL looked effective and in sync.

Josh Allen averaged an anemic 6.8 yards per attempt last season and the Bills finished dead last in YAC............but some people think that running back what they did all last regular season or running Josh Allen 10x per game like they did late in the year to cover for their lack of punch from the spread are foregone conclusions.

What they've done pro-personnel wise, coaching hires and in the draft suggests a team that wants a different offensive identity.

I totally agree with your premise about the Bills offense and JA limiting his share of rushes but the anemic thing is a little off.

JA led all the "rushing type" QBs last season with that average.  That includes Jackson, Hurt, Mahomes and a bunch of others.

I say go for it on 4th and 9 from your own 10

Might as well, nothing to lose.

Seriously, I would guess Bass is the emergency punter? But you don't take a chance on him getting injured, right?

it's preseason football, who the hell cares.  Run a play on 4th down and be done with it.  It doesn't matter.
