James Cook is going to be a major problem

Cook got a one-way ticket to the pines.  I think I saw him on a pass pro snap after the fumble.  Let's hope he's not in the McDoghouse.

He will get another chance. But if Cook fumbles again in the next 2-3 games he’s going to have a big problem with the coaching staff.

I hope we'll see Cook out the McDoghouse next Moday night.

He’s not finished yet. But he will be on notice. No more fumbles anytime soon.

Not a great start to his career.

Are you in every thread to be negative?

Cook will be fine.

Still pretty clear that Singletary is the best back on the roster. Good vision, good moves, tough finish, plus pass pro. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them continue to split reps early in the season though.

Agreed on all accounts.

For example...Kareem Hunt fumbled his first carry after never fumbling a ball in college.  It means nothing really, doesn't change his potential.  Now if he goes on to have a fumbling problem, that's a different story.

Came here to post this same example.

at this point, just trade our 1st-2nd round picks for a bunch later in the draft.  Beans picks later on are crazy.  Jackson(7th), Benford (6), Dqvis (4) and Brown (3), Milano (5) all making an impact last night.

In all seriousness, Cook likely just had an off game, just happened to be the first one.

Guess they shouldn’t have hidden their new weapon all pre-season.

I just don’t see it with these RBs. Motor is the clear cut lead guy, yet Moss gets all the work.  For whatever reason they decided to draft a guy who was a back up in college, to a guy who’s not as good as Moss and expected him to be a big factor.  Interesting strategy all around.
