I'd like to point out that over 1000 people have viewed this post and each probably wasted at least a minute of their lives. That's approximately 1200 minutes or 20 hours of human existence utterly wasted on a useless post. I'm trying to prevent further needless waste. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

JC, you're coming off as a serious curmudgeon, man.  Let's be real.  You could technically argue that every minute we spend on any thread in this place is a "waste" of our lives; time better spent with others IRL or improving ourselves in some way.  I do agree with you that if every single person (or hell, just 10% of active posters) started a thread about buying a ticket, it would make the board unreadable, but that's not what's happening here.  And if it started to trend that way, the mods would put an end to it pretty quickly.

We’ve always had a good time in Fells Point as well…but I haven’t been in a few years so don’t know if anything has changed.  Seemed pretty safe to us, and lots of bars/restaurants.

This game would have been a no-brained for me, typically, but since I’m going to both LA and Miami in weeks 1 and 3 this trip was not in the cards.

Yes - back when I spent time in Baltimore, I also spent time in Fells Point and it was a fun and safe place to be.  As with the commenter above, it's been a few years so I don't know if things have changed, but it was a good spot back in the day.

Never been to an away game…still debating whether or not to hit the town the night before, as I am not in possession of a Kevlar vest…😉

Fell's Point is good.  Since you are in Baltimore, I recommend the following:

1 - Drive directly to your location.  Besides the Inner Harbor, Canton, and Fells Point, I wouldn't recommend walking around a lot.  It's not that all areas are bad, it's that you can end up in a bad area unintentionally quickly.

2 - For Crab Cakes - Jimmy's Famous Seafood or Pappas

3 - If you want one of the best steaks and overall really good food, I recommend Michael's on Eastern Ave.  It has an Elks lodge feel

4 - Tailgating is on concrete parking lots and traffic sucks.  They do have those rental scooters which are actually fun and useful.  Food in the stadium is solid and there's a Jimmy's inside as well.  The crab Pretzel is popular

5 - Don't worry about wearing Bills gear.  I've done it for years there

Cool, man…that’s awesome…thanks! 👍

And, yes- the Kevlar vest was in reference to the high crime in the city…

Fed Hill has great bars and night life, and so does Fells Point. Can't go wrong between the two.

He could share his excitement with his friends or family. Or like I said go to the TBD chat room. To create a post about receiving Bills tickets is kind of pointless. He didn't even ask a question. He just said I bought Bills tickets, look at me, and let me post about it. By your logic every single poster should do the same. Or even post that they just bought a new car or got a cat. They're exciting too. Silly.

Wow......just wow

Reminds me of an old kids game we use to play (see above bolded) ........"made you look"

Anyway, you're miserable and only too happy to display it.

You will have zero problems if you plan. There are many very nice, safe neighborhoods (there are dozens). Below are those closest to downtown.

- Fells Point (The Pendry Hotel area - for fans of Homocide TV show, the hotel's facade was once used as the police HQ).  Bars and restaurants in the area. Nice walk along the water.

- Harbor East. Several major hotels anchor the water, many mid to high end restaurants. The James Joyce pub reopened if you like Irish pubs.

- Next door is Little Italy for restaurants.

- Federal Hill is more 20 and 30 somethings. Good bar atmosphere. Closer to the stadium and should be hopping. Use the Cross Street Market as a reference point.

- If you want activities:

History:  Fort McHenry is cool.  If in Federal Hill, go to the Park and catch the view of the city.

Other: The National Aquarium is top notch, the Horseshoe Casino is always open.

Breweries: If you like breweries, there are are more than enough to visit. Checkerspot is no-frills but near the stadium and fun. Personal favorite: Union Craft, but it's uptown and you might need a car. If you have a car, also try Guinness Brewery and Heavy Seas.

I'm curious, but how much were the tickets? I'm visiting family that week and planned on going to the Steelers game with my sisters, brothers in law and niece and nephew. Actually I wanted to pay for my niece to go because she missed out on our last game.

But the cheapest tickets are $330 after all the fees and taxes! Those are nosebleed tickets! I guess that might be normal now across the league, but is it?

The day the schedule came out, I got 2 seats in the lower corner endzone for $215 each at Seat Geek. In the same section the cheapest seats I saw now are $264 each on Ticketmaster (ticket exchange) & on Seat Geek they're $288.  All these include fees.

Wait until the week of the game.  You’ll find lower bowl tickets for well under $200.  I went to a few games last year and it went the same way

Yeah... honestly our problem is that we need 5-7 seats all sitting next to each other. Well... we don't need it exactly, but that’s what my family wants.

Cheapest tickets right now on seatgeek for 5 seats grouped together are 288 plus 97 bucks in taxes and fees. Nutty.

Not sure if the Kevlar vest is a reference to crime in Baltimore or Baltimore fans going after a Bills fan.  Either way, you're in danger if you go into the wrong parts of Baltimore and fine if you stay in the right ones.  It's been a few years since I was there, but the Federal Hill neighborhood is a good neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants and also happens to be where the Ravens's stadium is located (as well as Camden Yards).  I'd definitely recommend hitting the town the night before, but not going too crazy as you need to save some of that for pre-game on Sunday....Have fun!

This is a nice sentiment, but I have to work in that area once a week or so, and recently it's seemed like there is a shooting every single week, some in broad daylight

That’s what I found at first…But then I had my sister (who is a Ravens fan) look for some tickets in that area and she found them for $200 a piece plus $45 in fees…unfortunately I don’t recall what site she was on…

To double up on the "stay in the right area" in Baltimore my brother in law was staying for some conference and he and 8 guys, half of them who are army rangers, went running and at one street the local guy told them to stop and turn around because the next block was not safe for army rangers
