I promised myself no more Edmunds' comments until we see him play week 1.

I'm sticking to that commitment.

That said, I just don't think the team can afford Milano and a top 5 MLB contract. They have to pay Oliver and Knox soon followed by Davis. If they want a high priced MLB they will have to let Poyer leave and probably trade Milano at the end of the year.

who’s to say Milano isn’t the odd man out and Bernard takes his place down the road. Many ways to manipulate this situation

Sounds like the Bears low-balled him. I read that they actually inserted deescalators in his contract that would penalize him for certain things, which is something that typically isn't included in player contracts. He was offended by it, rightfully.

The feeling in Chicago right now seems to be the new FO wants to tank this year and completely gut the team in 2023, Fields included.

And Beane ain't trading for him. They love Edmunds.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills say bye-bye to Milano next year.

We can't keep everyone.

Tanking not allowed, unless you are Stephen Ross or Tim Murray.

Agree here. I love Milano but he seemed to drop off last year. Let's see how he performs and if he can stay healthy.

Man if we could afford it I'd think about it. He's good, really good.

But the Bears gonna want picks, prolly a first. Smith is gonna want a bag, a big one.

We don't really have either of those to dole out.

A 1st next year will be in the high 20s+. Smith is a top ten pick, that would be an excellent trade.

salary cap is fluid and only going up. Beane could find the money I’m sure

To protect himself - I heard he was wearing a dress and using the ladies room - better hurry and check the ladies room also - let us know how that goes!
