***** mac jones, his team, and everything he stands for.  anyone scared of him needs to do a testicular check and make sure they're still attached.

Tell us how you REALLY feel though.

i have an odd, unnecessary anger towards mac jones.  it's not explainable, but it's there.  in my defense, i had the same unexplainable anger towards jared from subway, and i was balls on accurate with that one.

Outside of New England, I doubt any fanbase knows and understands the Sith Lord more than Bills fans.

He doesn't say stuff like that.

Just wanted to get a temperature out there:  there has been a ton of Jones hype this offseason, and at minimum, he IS in much better shape physically.

Any concern at all that we could be in for another run from that team?  Obviously, we're still top dog for the time being, but if Jones does pan out, I could see them being more like Miami was in the '90's to the team we had then.

My own 2 cents is that I still don't see it.  He can't really improvise, and arm strength will always be an issue. He also struggles against man coverage.  But he does have the cerebral thing.

I'd say that Belichick going out of his way to heap that amount of praise onto McCorkle means that he actually STINKS.

They can have the second coming of Johnny Unitas… Josh Allen is in Buffalo

“He is accurate, makes good decisions and has a good feel for the position. He has been very efficient. Even last year when he stepped in he seemed to have a good presence on the field and good command of the offense.”

- Bill Belichick on Trent Edwards in 2008.

"I think he's got the ability to make all the throws. Can throw down the field, intermediate throws. Plenty of examples of him going through a read progression . . . I think he's shown the ability to do everything. The consistency has looked better in recent weeks. Don't think there's any shortage of talent there, playmaking ability. We saw him run . . . He's an athletic guy that has great size. Good arm. Hard to tackle in the pocket. "

- Bill Belichick on Sam Darnold in 2020.

“He gets rid of the ball very quickly, doesn’t hold it much, sees coverage well, has taken good care of the ball, hasn’t thrown the ball to the defense. He understands the pressure, the timing of routes, gets the ball out quickly, and has enough quickness in the pocket to make it difficult for the pass rush to get to him.  He can run a little bit, but I would say he’s more of a quicker guy in the pocket that’s elusive and really wants to throw more than he wants to run.”

- Bill Belichick on Tua Tagovailoa in 2021.

I just wanted to point out that Bill Belichick saying nice things about bad and mediocre quarterbacks is a pretty common occurrence.

Yeah but he always heaps praise on his opponents and he tells his players to do the same.

even clearly terrible teams he talks up like they’re great.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/10/01/redskins-would-be-lot-fun-if-they-were-good-bill-belichick-says-they-are/

he also uses any comments the other team makes as bulletin board material.

https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/how-bill-belichick-motivates-patriots-players-using-opponents-comments

it’s a coaching strategy of his. Endlessly praise the opponents while using anything they say as bulletin board material for his team.

Id like to see how he normally talks about his own QBs to the media. Like what did he say in the past about previous QBs they drafted. I think that would be more relevant. (not that I think his praise of Mac Jones actually means much anyway).

This is better research than one normally hears on TV from obnoxious screaming football "experts".

I'm sure he's pretty similar to how he was last year - I'm not sure why they haven't really surrounded him with playmakers while hes on his rookie deal.  They will run the ball and attack with PA like they did last year, the defense there is worse than it was a year ago.

We whupped there ass in New England late in the season and then put a historic beatdown on them in the playoffs.  Mac Jones isn't scaring anyone with his noodle arm.  The guy doesn't suck, (but starting NFL QB's are not supposed to suck)  but he can't move and has nothing dynamic to his game.  Bring on all comers.
